What are the best approaches to eradicating poverty when traditional means fail?
Paul Polak, Out of Poverty
Paul Polak is widely regarded as the father of market-centered approaches to development. Over the past 30 years, he has had long conversations with more than 3,000 small farmers who live on less than $1 a day and walked with them through their fields. He is the founder of IDE, which has now enabled 20 million of the world’s poorest people to move out of poverty by selling them radically affordable irrigation tools made available through thousands of small village manufacturers, dealers, and well drillers, and opening smallholder access to markets where they could sell their crops at a profit.
Paul’s book, Out of Poverty: What Works When Traditional Approaches Fail, has been widely used as a basic text on practical solutions to rural poverty. He is the founder and CEO of Windhorse International and cofounder and board chairman of Spring Health India, for-profit companies with the mission of bringing safe drinking water to 100 million poor rural customers in the world. Paul is the prime mover for creating and implementing the four social impact multinationals in this book, each designed to transform the lives of 100 million $2-per-day customers and generate annual sales of $10 billion.
A former psychiatrist, farmer and investor, Paul’s vision inspired the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt traveling exhibit, Design for the Other 90 Percent. He was named by The Atlantic as one of the world’s 27 “Brave Thinkers,” along with Steve Jobs and Barack Obama. He has also received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Scientific American Top 50 award for agricultural policy.

He has appeared on numerous radio shows and podcasts including Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and Bob Olson’s Afterlife TV.

Being a hippie is not a matter of dress, behavior, economic status, or social milieu. It is a philosophical approach to life that emphasizes freedom, peace, love and a respect for others and the earth. The way of the hippie never died. There have always been hippies from the first time society laid down rules, to Jesus, to Henry David Thoreau, to John Lennon, to you. There’s a little hippy in all of us. It’s just been repressed by our socialization process. We need to find it and cultivate our hippie within. Only then can we reach our true potential. Elightenment comes from smoking weed of course, but what makes you a Hippie?

JP's Golden Age Of Radio Series features the amazingly hilarious thoughts of Jack Benny with this episode titled "Arizona Western". This episode aired as thousands turned their radios on the night of October 17th, 1948.
Jack Benny (born Benjamin Kubelsky February 14, 1894 - December 26, 1974) was an American comedian, vaudevillian, and actor for radio, television, and film.
Widely recognized as one of the leading American entertainers of the 20th century, Benny was known for his comic timing and his ability to get laughs with either a pregnant pause or a single expression, such as his signature exasperated "Well!" His radio and television programs, tremendously popular in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, were a foundational influence on the situation comedy.

The team arrives in Washington, D.C. in 1986 to find a document that will lead them to Savage. The team infiltrates the Pentagon and retrieve a government file that points them toward scientist Valentina Vostok in the Soviet Union. Chronos tracks the team, and Rip is forced to use Russian fighter jets to assist in taking down Chronos. While Ray and Snart go after Vostok, Rip tracks a time anomaly outside of Moscow. Rip finds his mentor Zaman Druce, who offers to pardon Rip and return his new team to their time if Rip voluntarily surrenders. The pardon is a trick, and Zaman attempts to kill Rip. With help from the team, Rip survives and Chronos and Zaman escape. Back on the ship, Rip has Sara and Kendra work together to tame the feral nature that resides in each of them. Dr. Stein infiltrates a research lab and discovers Savage is trying to build an army with the same abilities as Firestorm. Dr. Stein absorbs the energy in Savage's thermal core, but he, Ray, and Mick are captured by the Soviets.
Oliver refuses Nyssa's offer, instead he attempts to convince Malcolm to relinquish control of the League to Nyssa in exchange for the cure. Malcolm claims Nyssa is lying and refuses to go along, while Nyssa agrees but proclaims that if Malcolm backs out then everyone will be considered an enemy. Oliver convinces Nyssa to provide a sample to prove to Merlyn she is not lying. After witnessing Thea get better, Malcolm agrees to the deal. At the exchange, Malcolm double-crosses Nyssa and she is forced to retreat. Oliver convinces Malcolm to challenge Nyssa to a duel, with the winner remaining the leader of the League. Before they fight, Oliver uses ancient rules to trade places with Nyssa as her husband. Oliver bests Malcolm, but instead of killing him he cuts off the hand wearing the Demon's Head ring and knocks Malcolm unconscious. Oliver exchanges the ring for the cure. Realizing her mistake, Nyssa disbands the League and destroys the ring. Angered by Oliver's betrayal, Malcolm informs Darhk about Oliver's son. In flashbacks, Reiter takes a stone from Oliver that has the symbols he seeks.
We continue our study of the 28 chapters of the modern Bible we call ACTS (formally named THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES) many things have been buried beneath man's desire for "structure," "law" and "protocol."
We tend to go to the letters (of Paul) for our doctrine and to justify our beliefs.
My question is this: what did the believers that Paul wrote these letters of instruction, and in some cases, correction have to grow the fellowship by 3,000 and 5,000 and more without these letters?
Is there a reason the body of believers grew so fast then as opposed to how?
Help me discover the lost motivation of this much ignored history of the early church.
