Patrick Dati speaks publically to stop bullying, to promote education and awareness about the serious issues of child sexual abuse and bullying to break the silence, and create change and action. Patrick Dati lived to finally "break the silence" that plagued him through his life. Patrick was a victim of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, as one fateful day when Patrick was just a child, he was raped in a public restroom, and threatened to never tell anyone about the assault. This would profoundly affect Patrick's life and haunted him as he suffered alone with this secret. Patrick's world began to spiral downward, and his true inner pain was hidden, as he was able to masque the true pain he was in and kept it hidden from his family and those around him. His life was not his own, and it became apparent that he was not living his own life but the life his family expected him to. After many years of keeping the truth hidden from his family, Patrick finally allowed his family to know that he is gay, and is comfortable with his choices in his life. Patrick suffered sibling bullying due to his "differences" and was bullied at school as a young man. Patrick's goal is to continue to speak publically about the issue of bullying and child sexual abuse, and he has had many interviews on major national networks and television stations. Please see Patrick's website You and Me Can Stop Bullies for more information or to contact Patrick Dati.

This week, we are joined by friends of the program, Cannonball finishers, and serious motorcycle junkies Pat and Cris Simmons. When Pat isn’t hard at work touring with The Doobie Brothers and Cris finds herself a free moment from writing bestselling books, the two of them are on the lookout for their next motorcycle adventure. In 2013, the couple decided to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Harley Davidson in a very special way; Pat and Cris hopped aboard their 1914 and 1915 Harley twins and rode from the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame in South Dakota to the Harley Davidson Museum in Wisconsin. Their trip went off without a hitch, and was a great way for the couple to spend time together.

The Grenadines are a haven for scuba divers, some of the world’s most spectacular aquatic scenery and much more. Our first stop takes us to Bequia (pronounced Beck-way), the largest of the Grenadines. Fresh from a dive at Devils Table with her dive buddy Cathy Sachs of Dive Bequia, Tonya and Cathy will recount their dive and why Bequia offers an unusual diving experience. Cathy will also share how this island has changed her life. Then we’ll visit Bequia’s Park Bay, home to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, where a native retired skin-diving fisherman affectionately known as “Brother King”, has spent more than a decade of his life to helping to conserve the endangered hawksbill turtle. Brother King and his helpers monitor the beaches and nests here to protect mother turtles from poachers. They also care for the baby hatchlings in the sanctuary during the turtles’ vulnerable years of life. Many of the hatchlings are released into a protective area just south of Bequia called Tobago Cays—our next stop. Lesroy Noel is the Park Ranger for the Tobago Cays Marine Park which lies in the southern Grenadines. The area comprises of five isles bordered by a giant horseshoe reef and teems with wildlife and wild sea turtles. Finally, we’ll travel just a short distance by boat to the private Palm Island where we’ll catch up with the island’s resident artist and (retired) medical professional Dr. Patrick Chevallier. Patrick is one of the world’s premiere undersea artists and his character is as charming and colorful as his artwork.
The Chicago Bulls finished their season with a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6. The Bulls faced similar offensive struggles, going long periods without managing to put the ball in the net. Their offensive collapse is just one of many questions circling this team as they enter the offseason. Has Tom Thibodeau coached his last game? Who will be his replacement? And which pieces of this roster will return next season? The Chicago Blackhawks, meanwhile, will try to get the split of the first two games in Anaheim against the Ducks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals tonight. The Hawks came out strong in Game 1 but failed to score, and found themselves chasing the Ducks from behind the entire game. Power plays and deep defensive rotations continued to be a problem in Game 1, can the Hawks turn up the offense and survive the heavy-hitting Ducks to come back to Chicago with the series tied 1-1? All this plus your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!
