The bitter irony of the Michael Brown case is that if he had actually put his hands up and said don't shoot, he would almost certainly be alive today. His family would have been spared an unspeakable loss, and Ferguson, Missouri wouldn't have experienced multiple bouts of rioting, including the torching of at least a dozen businesses the night it was announced that Officer Darren Wilson wouldn't be charged with a crime.

A Kingdom Call…...asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.... in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord, and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with ALL POWER according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. ..... Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light. For He has rescued us from the dominion (authority) of darkness, and brought us into the Kingdom of the son He loves.... Colossians 1:9-13

Random Talk is a product of a long standing friendship, now coming up on 15 years. Recently on one of our weekly walks, Carol and I came up with this brilliant idea. We decided to give people a look into our great discussions and weekly rants.
Friends since 1999, our friendship has taught us patience, forgiveness, support and a host of other lessons. Since then we have both become college graduates, working professionals, business owner, wives, and Carol a mother. We hope to continue our loving friendship for years to come.

The words God inspired man to write is for our learning and to live by daily. The only way it does not work is we never put it in to action or use it. If the word is not applied to the lives of the people the people will always have a need or needs.God has a purpose and Plan for his people but because they refuse to accept what he allows and refuse to seek him with their whole heart. The need gets greater and it appear the need can not be fulfilled.
The love that never fails is the love that is born of Jesus Christ and maintained in the garden on the Spirit and maintained. God the Father promises us a love we see in a mighty way when Christ comes to the world and heals all and brings the abundant life.
We then see it when He goes to the cross for us all and that being the greatest display of all time for all mankind. Now personal love and the wrestling matches we must deal with in staying in the perfected love that Christ Himself made possible for us and available to us who believe if we want it.
The love that never fails is beautiful, it changes everything and it causes even the toughest of days to be ok. Personally I am going to share my heart on this very issue tonight.
In the word of God we find so many answers, it's in the application that we stumble.

Yassin Hall comes from humble beginnings that would make most people throw in the towel, but her journey is one that demonstrates how important perseverance and determination are to reaching one’s destiny. She’s a mother, dance mom, fashionista, model manager, real estate mogul, celebrity stylist, entrepreneur, life mentor, speaker, now Author. She is Yassin Hall, a U.S. Virgin Islander.
However, Hall’s true passion has always been tied to fashion and clothing, as she began modeling in her teen years and designing. From the age of 12 , she was raised by her maternal grandmother & paternal uncle after her mother suffered a mental breakdown in front of her; the day that changed her life forever.
She wants her story as a child living with a mother with mental illness to raise awareness and help others. Mental illness in many communities is taboo and unspoken. She feels that cycle should be broken so others suffering with depression, anxiety, and mental disorders can be made aware of their conditions and know that it is okay to receive help before going over the edge.
But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
Scripture provides an accurate and reliable guide to the realities of the spiritual and material worlds. It affirms the reality of human sin, of the power and purpose of God to deal with sin through Jesus Christ and of the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The reality of God. The reality of the existence of God. The reality of the love of God. The reality of God’s salvation. The reality...
Though it seems strong to confront what is immediate, sometimes it is wise to wait for certainty. In such situations, a firm correctness is all that is required. Maturity dictates that we enjoy the idle time of waiting for the correct moment to deal with life’s challenges. Waiting is the will to sit tight and do nothing, learning that sometimes nourishment comes through inaction. There are many kinds of courage -- perhaps the greatest of all is the courage to remain unflinchingly in place when all the circumstances seem to cry out for action. A very large part of ‘the work’ consists in disciplining oneself to wait, to take no action until some indefinite time in the future. This is exceedingly difficult to do, and creates incredible stresses within the psyche , which is exactly why it is necessary. Tune in this week as Nancy and I discuss how to psychologically ‘wait’ or subdue the autonomous instincts, drives and emotions that are accustomed to respond whenever they are stimulated. Learn that though waiting creates feelings of stress, when you can wait as if there were nothing else to do, you actually realize that you may be getting somewhere.
