I decided to record this episode of the podcast when I got a message from a Facebook friend. Krishna Palani asked,
"Can you please offer me some resources and tips for trading patches at NOAC? I'm relatively new to trading and I'm going to NOAC this year."
I started to fire off a message back when I realized that this was probably a topic that a lot of Arrowmen were curious about. I'm estimating that only 1/5 youth at the 2015 NOAC will be veterans of the last conference in 2012. So very few of them have had any experience going to a NOAC and might be curious for some tips just like Krishna.
I spent some time writing an outline and just hit record. I talked for almost 45 minutes straight through without taking a break or hitting the edit button. This might be the first time in years that I've just recorded my stream of thought and never edited a single word in post-production. However, I'm extremely happy with the result. I think the content in this show will be very valuable for any Arrowmen (youth or adult) that has never attended a National OA Conference. What you get here is my unfiltered opinion and I'm sure I'm going to make a few people mad with me for that reason.

This is the show that all Boy Scout memorabilia collectors have been waiting for. At the 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree patch trading will be an official scheduled activity for the first time ever. Patch trading between adult Scouters and youth Scouts will be allowed at a Jamboree for the first time in decades. I would go so far as to say that my guest tonight is responsible for most of those changes. As an avid collector and one of the top volunteers helping to plan and organize this summer's 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree Russell Smart has all the answers that we've been waiting to hear. What is the deal with visitors? What about all those privately made staff patches? What are the rules and how are they going to be enforced? Can Scouts trade during the day while they are supposed to be doing program activities? If you are going to the Jamboree then this is a show you need to dial in on.

Rockets want to trade Dwight Howard?
Houston Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff called his team “broken” recently, and with the team currently out of the playoffs Dwight Howard could be on the move.
However, trading Howard may not be as easy as it sounds in theory as colleague Ben DuBose explained in a SheridanHoops column.
Trades talks are heating up with less than a week until the trade deadline on February 18.
Another player who may be dealt at the deadline is Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris who has wanted out since the summer when the team dealt his brother, Marcus, to the Detroit Pistons.
With that in mind, Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops.com joined Sportsnet 590 The Fan radio to discuss the latest on trade rumblings around the league and what the Rockets will do with Dwight Howard.

The Fresno Homeless Advocates March 12, 2014 sent a letter to the Fresno City Council. The letter was concerning Organized Camps for the Homeless. I will be readying this letter to and for the first time myself. The City Council nor the Mayor of Fresno even bothered to respond to this letter. I would like to find the reason no fresponse was given. Guest call-in # (816)831-9535, feel free to call at any point to join in on the discussion
