After Rick covers the latest news, author and Pastor, Leonard J. Vander Zee, spends the balance of the hour with Rick to discuss the often misunderstood and debated Sacraments of the Christian faith, specifically in regards to the Lord’s Supper. Pastor Vander Zee is the author of the book, “Christ, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper: Recovering the Sacraments for Evangelical Worship.”
J will be reviewing the Kevin Smith film Tusk, starring Justin Long. We'll also discuss the release of the iPhone 6. The crappy company know as AT&T. MLB races heating up. The first few weeks of the NFL. And whatever else comes to mind.
II Kings 16 Chapter
You Can't Ignore This!
The Bible states' that Ahaz lived a godless life, and brought Israel into new depths of degradation by worshiping the god with the little "g" Molech. The Bible says, that Ahaz even gave up his own son as a burnt offering to this idol or image. Yet, God wanted to save Ahaz from his cruel enemies, and give Ahaz a sign of the coming of Jesus Christ as our Savor, but Ahaz rejected and ignore the sign. Therefore, Ahaz dies after being king only for 16 years. My question is this are we as a country ignoring all the signs of Jesus Second-Coming that God has given unto us?

The Audible Bible by Pastor Michel, Dominique is designed to keep the word of God alive in the hearing of believers as well as unbelievers. All scripture reading are directly from the Holman Christian Standard Bible. The goal is that people all over the world can hear the word where ever there is access to a mobile phone or computer. There may not be access to a television or a people may not be able to read English; however, the Audible Bible will make it easier to hear the word. 2 Peter 1:19-21 state, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shine in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Praying the Apostle Paul's prayer and getting results. We will also look at the prayers of many others who prayed and receive results.
F B Meyer:
"We must believe that God is, and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. The Father is the object of our prayer, through the mediation of our Lord Jesus and by the aid of the Holy Spirit; but however we conceive of it-whether the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit is the prominent object before our thought-we must believe that there is an eye that witnesses our poor endeavors, an ear that listens, a mind that can be impressed and affected by our requests. But further, we need a living faith which reckons on the faithfulness of God and believes that it has already received its petitions, when they are founded on special promises and evidently prompted by the Holy Spirit. When we pray, it is not enough merely to speak a long list of requests into the ear of God; it becomes us to wait after each one and to receive by an appropriating act of the soul. It is as though we saw God take from the shelves of His storehouse the boon on which we had set our heart, label it with our name, and put it aside until the precise moment arrived in which He could bestow it on us without hurt."
There were a few surprises on the track during practice at the Singapore Airlines Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore. A surprise showing by the Ferrari team gave fans a reason to sit up and take notice. At the end of the first practice session, the fastest man on the track was Fernando Alonso. MercedesAMG driver, Lewis Hamilton, was second fastest, followed by his teammate, Nico Rosberg.
Four-time champion Red Bull Sebastian Vettel seems to be improving and had the fourth fastest car. Lotus driver Pastor Maldonado did not disappoint when he ended his practice session, after hitting the side of the wall at a turn known as, ‘the Singapore Sling’. Rosberg had to cut short his second lap, when Maldonado hit the wall. Prior to Maldonado’s crash, Rosberg was fastest on the track, so Hamilton must not under-estimate him at qualifying. By the end of practice 2, fastest on the track was Hamilton, Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo, Kimi Raikkonen then Sebastian Vettel.
The weekend party and events during the Singapore Grand Prix features family friendly entertainment and late night performances for the mature party set.
