Cafecito Break - Dance Your Dream

    in Spirituality

Our topic today is "Dance Your Dream" with Special Guest Pastor Ben and Gavin Russom.

If I can't dance, I don't want to be a part of your revolution." - Emma Goldman

What does a Pastor, a Curator of Music, and a Shamanic Movement Coach have in common?  They are co-creating a "Dance Your Dream Party" with the intention of buidling bridges, creating an inviting unified space, and providing a safe place to dance in the segregated and gentrified neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The Rev. Ben Mckelahan is an interactive artist, fairy tale writer, and Lutheran Pastor.  Since he stumbled upon Lutheranism and Theatre of the Oppressed, Ben has been fascinated with how to use art and games to create a community that embodies God’s unconditional love. Ben serves as the pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Gavin Russon -  is a sound, visual, and music artist, originally from Providence, Rhode Island, he currently lives in New York City. He has also spent a significant amount of time based in Berlin which he considers his second home. From an early age, he became interested in experimenting with sound, image and movement and investigating the territory where the boundaries between them blur. Not surprisingly, his career has straddled many worlds and scenes. Looking beneath genre and the shifting landscape of stylistic trends, Russom's focus is really the vital energy present in all earthly things and the ecstatic nature of reality.

Millennials & Management with Lee Caraher

    in Entrepreneur

You may have heard other business owners complain and working with Millennials.  There is a pretty commonly accepted thought that you should not hire Millennials to work in your company.  But what if you are missing out?  What if the very thing your company needs to grow is contained in the brain of someone you are dismissing just because of their age. We wouldnt do that with older employees, so why do we fall into the trap of not hiring them?

First off you have to understand that a Millennial is anyone between the ages of 15 and 35.  That is a pretty huge range to lump altogher.  Next we need to take into account all the things the younger generation has grown up with.  Simple things like the microwave and cell phone are as common as breathing for them.  And on the other hand people under a certain age have never walked all the way up to the terminal to meet someone flying into an airport.

Before we abandon a whole generation (again 15-35!!) lets take a look at the misconceptions.  What a Millennial can bring to the table and how we as good business owners can help them be an effective member of our team

Host Steve Kidd is joined by Lee Caraher the owner of Double Forte Marketing to talk with us on this episode of Thriving Entrepreneur about Millennials and Management

How to Get Rid of Free-Loaders (People who take advantage of Your Generosity!)!

    in Religion

STRENGTHENING THE FAMILIES:  Apostle Williams is available for Conferences, Seminars and Workshops that will build your ministry or church group.   Her goal is to provide Educational Seminars and resources for victims and families dealing with domestic violence, mental and emotional stress, and substance abuse that weaken the family structure and values.  These seminars are to help improve parenting skills, promote abstinence among our youth, and provide Christian counseling relating to family values and issues.  To strengthen, encourage and motivate men and women. Strengthening the Families Outreach Ministries Programs airs on Tuesdays on Fresh Manna Our Daily Bread Blog Talk Radio.

Today’s Discussion: How to Get Rid of Free-Loaders (People who take Advantage of Your Generosity!)  We need to put a stop to allowing people (relatives, friends and associates) to abuse our kindness and generosity, and then treat us like crap!  Even worst some of the very people that we help in their time of trouble are the main ones who act like they are doing us a favor!! While others treat us with contempt because they are jealous and envious and do everything possible to sabotage our good fortune, it’s time to let them go, put them out and move on!!

Click on the Play Tab Button or link to listen to the “live program” or the recorded broadcast after the scheduled air time.  Be sure to click the FOLLOW Tab on the Fresh Manna Blog Talk Radio Program to be alerted for future programs.
