Tonight's special guest is Tracey Heisler, from New Jersey, executive director of the CASA program in Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) recruits, screens, trains, and supervises community volunteers to act as advocates in court for children living in the foster care system, giving them a voice that might not otherwise be heard. Mrs. Heisler, herself the mother of 8 children, has degrees in Psychology with an emphasis in Juvenile Justice and Forensics. She came to this work as a result of her mother and uncle's experiences of growing up in the foster care system in upstate New York. It is her life's mission to improve the quality of life for these children while in care and to facilitate their transition to their "forever family," whether through reunification, adoption, or kinship legal guardianship, as quickly as possible. The role of CASA is to advocate for children in out-of-home placement. The CASA is appointed by the Family Court Judge. The volunteer must read all of the child's records and interview people in the child's life and then makes recommendations to the court. All volunteers must be screened, fingerprinted and must agree to a federal, state and local background check before being accepted into a CASA 30 hour training session. All volunteer must be over the age of 21 and be able to provide their own transportation.

"Jessica Haynes bringing you the best of the best!" Every Monday Night 9pm ET, Jessica will be my guest and will be bringing on with her a different talented guest every week! Jessica in 1983, at 27years old I had a near death experience. I was a passenger in a car in my home town Carmel, CA. The driver crashed at accelerating speed into a tree. The driver walked away from the accident, but the impact on my side of the car crushed my face beyond recognition. My vertebrae suffered multiple fractures, my discs smashed/bulging and the bones in my feet shattered. I was diagnosed to have lasting nerve damage and possible paralysis below my waist. I looked grotesque. After the surgery to re-attach my jaw and rebuild my face, I had a Near Death Experience. I went through several stages on "the other side" including, three life reviews. The first review showed me the life I had lived. The second, I saw a different and better life I could have lived if I had made better choices (but still the accident would have happened). The third, making completely different choices, I saw a life I would have lived and the accident would not have happened.
I was fortunate to get my life back. With my NDE awarenesses I had a miracle healing. Within six months I was fully healed. The X-rays showed no sign of injury to my back and feet.
In this episode the two seasoned vets interview Dave "The Band Man" Schmitz of Resistance Band Training, a true pioneer of the new wave in the fitness industry. Husband, Father, Phyiscal Therapist, Fitness Coach and Entrepreneur, and National Expert on Resistance Band Training, from Milwaukee, WI.
"Growing up on rural dairy farm, little did I know that all the time I spent as a young athlete in the back yard doing wind sprints, up-downs, jump squats and catching footballs I was throwing to myself was really a foreshadowing of where my life was about to take me. I loved sports but more importantly, I loved watching and learn why some athletes could do what others couldn’t. '
'So I set out on my journey that took me from an average High school athlete, to graduating with a Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Degree, to rehabbing 1000’s of injuries, to starting my own Performance Enhancement company, to becoming an expert in Reactive Resistance Band Training (RBT) and perfecting a training system that trains the body to reactively and instinctively do things that others said wouldn’t happen."
