Greetings Friends, Saints, and Family. Today the study of the seven churches in the book of revelations will continue with the church of Pergamos. Here God is telling the angel of the church in pergamos to write and reveal that their works are known; and he commends them for holding fast to the name of God, and for not denying the faith (even in those days where Antipas was a faithful martyr who was slain where Satan dwells). These were mid-evil days during the Roman empior.
Today, all that's left of the city of Pergamum, now in modern-day Turkey, are ruins. But when the Apostle John wrote his letter to the church there, it was one of the most influential cities in the Roman Empire.
“Pergamum had a unique status that was different than any other city because it was the political center, says Rick Renner, the author of A Light in the Darkness, a study of the seven churches of Asia Minor. “It was from there that all the rulings were made that affected the whole of Asia Minor.”
The people of Pergamum were inventors and innovators. They perfected a parchment made out of calfskin and built the world's first psychiatric hospital. Pergamum was also a well-known center for the arts. The city’s theater seated ten thousand people a night. The acoustics were so good that a whisper on stage could be heard all the way in the top row.

It truly is the end of an era! Anthony Geary made his final and permanent exit from General Hospital on Monday, July 27 as he had one last conversation w/Sonny then disappeared into the fog for parts unknown. For anyone who has been immersed in the iconic drama it's been a sad moment, though I think tougher for those who worked with Tony for so many years.
Join me tonight with my special guests Jackie Zeman, who played Luke's little sister Bobbie Spencer and Ian Buchanan, who also worked with Tony for so many years. Both were at the finale goodbye party and have lots of insight into Tony's last year on GH.
Depending on who you talk to, GENERAL HOSPITAL axing headwriter Ron Carlivati was either the biggest shock on the planet or completely predictable given the recent ratings. Tonight, we'll discuss theories as to where things went wrong and look toward the future of the legendary soap. What changes would you like to see made? Call host Richard M. Simms, the executive editor of Soaps in Depth, to share your take on how to get things back on track!
Join LR (Joe Lee) and PD (Pamela SurrenderDorothy Kelly)

Mount Vernon Mayoral candidate Richard Thomas speaks about the campaign effort, the challenges made over the petition gathering effort, and most understood, the circumstances with respect to the circumstances in which Raynette Turner, after being arrested, complained of a medical issue, was taken to hospital, and after a medical examination was permitted to return to jail after taking hypertension medication. Hours later she was found deceased. Was protocol overlooked? Is this simply an event that was unfathomable? Have we been able to understand what lessons may be learned from the loss of Ms. Turner, the mother of eight. What is to happen to the children?

Everyone is talking about using analytics to improve healthcare, collecting data on blood pressure, insulin levels, heart rate and other indicators. However, health plan CareSource not only is analyzing that traditional medical data but is using analytics to draw a more complete picture of a patient and the life factors -- lifestyle, home life, and work -- that shape their health. The goal is to prevent recurrence of medical issues and readmission to the hospital.
Bob Gladden, vice president for CareSource's Center for Analytics, and his team are taking creative approaches to healthcare analytics in an effort to keep their clients healthier in the long run. Gladden joins All Analytics Radio to discuss how organizations can use analytics to search for healthcare solutions that range beyond what we have grown to view as standard health data.
In this show you will learn:
About the impact that unnecessary recurrence and readmission have on patients, providers, insurers, and the public
How providers and insurers can utilize data analytics to have a positive impact on patient lives while delivering efficiencies throughout the healthcare system
What types of life factors have a significant impact on patient health and how data can identify possible solutions
About the unexpected role that healthcare analytics can have in shaping public policy, particularly for those patients most in need

In this show you’ll learn:
The different types of fibroids and the options for treating them
The relationship of hormones and the menstrual cycle to fibroids
Diet, supplements, herbal remedies, exercise, emotional healing, and the effects of environmental toxins in managing fibroids
Fact: By the time they reach menopause forty percent of American women have at least one uterine fibroid; 600,000 women are diagnosed each year.
Fact: Fibroids are the leading cause of hysterectomy, the second most common surgical procedure performed on women.
Fibroid tumors, while usually benign, can swell a woman’s uterus to the size of a basketball, frequently causing heavy menstrual bleeding, cramping, bladder infections, and even infertility. Most doctors recommend surgery as the only answer.
Grammy® winning composer, Laura Sullivan, called out to the world to join her in a powerful plan to make a music video. Her request was simple. Take a video of yourself singing her song We Are Love and send it to her. The response was overwhelming.
900 Voices, promises to make you smile, and maybe even cry. 938 people, 27 languages, 1 song.
People from Australia, Brazil, Israel, Croatia, Korea, Kenya, India, and many other countries, participated by making videos on their cell phones and sending them to Laura and will make you so happy. Elena from Bulgaria, still in her hospital gown, sings and sweetly kisses her newborn son. A group of children in Uganda, who were once homeless, sing and dance like they are the richest kids in the world. A fire department of tough guys from New Jersey gives it their all.
The result: EPIC. 27 languages included in one song and video about love and unity. The video was released on April 9, 2014. It received over 50,000 views, and was accepted on the Ellen DeGeneres online Tube channel the first week of its release.
“I was hoping to get a lot of participation, but what I received back was beyond my wildest dreams. People from all over the world and from every walk of life sent in incredible videos. Watching them moved me to tears. I hope I have honored these hundreds of wonderful people by including them in the video.” says Laura.
The resulting video, with the blending of the many voices, faces, and languages, creates a powerfully moving experience that shines a light on the unifying power of love in our world.
50% of the music proceeds of 900 Voices are going towards the national nonprofit Little Kids Rock. This organization partners with economically disadvantaged school districts to run music programs. To date they have served more than 325,000 children in 13 states.

Voices of Women with Host Kris Steinnes. Sonya Lea shares her powerful new memoir .Wondering Who You Are. In the twenty-third year of their marriage, Sonya Lea’s husband, Richard, went in for surgery to treat a rare appendix cancer. When he came out, he had no recollection of their life together: how they met, their wedding day, the births of their two children. All of it was gone, along with the rockier parts of their past—her drinking, his anger. Richard could now hardly speak, emote, or create memories from moment to moment. Who he was wasn't.Wondering Who You Are braids the story of Sonya and Richard’s relationship, those memories that he could no longer conjure, together with his fateful days in the hospital—the near-death experience and eventual traumatic brain injury. It follows the couple through his recovery as they struggle with his treatment, and through a marriage no longer grounded on decades of shared experience. As they build a fresh life together, as Richard develops a new personality, Sonya is forced to question her own assumptions, beliefs and desires, her place in the marriage and her way of being in the world. With radical candor and honesty, Sonya Lea has written a memoir that is both a powerful look at perseverance in the face of trauma and a surprising exploration into what lies beyond our fragile identities.
