We can't teach happiness. We can't make other people happy. We can't force people to be happy. We can't even create happiness by giving them material things. We certainly can't make someone else happy by giving up things in our own lives. In the process of attempting to make others happy, we deny ourselves the infinite joys of life. Happiness is our own responsibility. Each and every one of us chooses whether or not we are happy or unhappy. We've all known people who have almost everything money can buy and still they are miserable.
Happy people have goals, dreams, desires, wants, and needs. They develop an attitude of "happy." This is done through their self-talk. They chose to deliberately and consciously talk to themselves in a positive manner.
When we talk to ourselves in a positive manner, we are taking steps toward everything we desire in life --- successful relationships, financial freedom, material possessions, happiness, and self-confidence. So how do you do it? How can you be happy and passionate every day when you are dealing with the stresses of life?
Join Choices host, Judi Moreo, author of You Are More Than Enough, as she shares tips and techniques for making yourself happy and staying that way.
Our guests this morning are Michael Zislis of The Zislis Group and Kelly Stroman of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association.
Michael Zislis – a frequent and favorite guest here on the show – is a South Bay native and the brain trust behind The Zislis Group.
Michael is the also the guy behind the fashionable boutique hotel, Shade Manhattan Beach, and the new Shade Redondo Beach which is under construction as we speak.
Kelly Stroman, another of our favorite guests, is the Executive Director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association and is a regular contributor to this program.
Every business in DTMB belongs to the Association, including the Farmers Market and it is Kelly’s responsibility to make DTMB an attractive place to shop, dine, play and stay. She has lived in MB for 15 years and has two teenage boys attending Mira Costa High School.
Kelly spent years volunteering within the public school system and raising money for the MB Education Foundation and she describes her current position as a fruitful combination of everything she has ever worked in or volunteered for.
She is passionate about keeping DTMB inviting to locals, Southern Californians and travelers from afar.
Kelly and Michael were responsible for putting everything in place for the LA Kings South Bay Stanley Cup Parade that took place in the Beach Cities on June 18 and this morning, they’re going to give us the back story on exactly how that came about.

Join I Huggy & Chris Mac Gibbon as we catch up and talk about what we've been up to in our lives lately, our current life dramas, when friendships go bad, and basically in a nutshell..
other people disappointing/failing you.
I mostly will focus on asking Chris about his own personal life, and of course doing a podcast about it, which sometimes is the most strong way of expression that I believe goes a long way of getting to the bottom of things, and what not.
Of course, the shows are as always, no gossip, no drama, no names being brought up shows, and if any of it is, is totally the responsibility of the sole individual saying it, not the host or other co-hosts or guests on the show should or would take responsibility for such.
To each their own!
What the roles and responsibilities are for marraige, so single christians are better prepared for their spouse when they get married.
Last week I wrote what I believe is my most important article on my blog ever. That article - Part 1 - was inspired as a result of the difference I see constantly between the Thriver orientation, which occurs when we take the personal responsibility on to heal our own wounds, and the rampant victimsation model which is predominant in most narcissistic / sociopathic abuse communities.
I am sharing some very special interviews with you today. These interviews are with women from the NARP Community, ladies who contacted me wanting to come forward and share their message, who have taken on the responsibility of their own healing, and who are active participants in breaking the cycles of abuse not only for themselves, but also for their future generations.
I hope you enjoy these interviews, and please share this article and accompanying radio show in any forum where victimsation is taking hostages and keeping people stuck in powerlessness and pain. Please also share with anyone you know who it can help.
Please join host Jason Wade Taylor/Randy Hahn LIVE @ 10:00pm EST for three hours of hard hitting Conservative radio. Does Social Media Promote Violence is tonight’s topic, and question.
I often say that social media is a powerful monster and with power, comes responsibility. If you use it for constructive means, it pays off. If you don’t get it right, you pay for it. Though it’s hard to believe, social media has been directly or indirectly associated with a large number of incidents related to violence, terrorism and uprisings all over the world.
If terrorism requires an audience, then the recent mainstream adoption of social media may be giving violent actors a bigger stage than ever before. There are many reasons people lash out at the world, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest that becoming the center of the attention could be a factor pushing some to commit atrocities. Our retweets could be delivering their messages of fear, and how much of a role has it played in the recent actions in the middle east.
Please follow me, Jason Wade Taylor on Twitter and be sure to check out my website Quagmire America.
