I have been investigating and researching the paranormal since 1995. My first experiences occurred in my family’s funeral home when I was 8 years old. I saw the apparition that I later found to be my great grandfather who died 3 months after I was born. Over the years I have had countless encounters with paranormal activity and worked with many different groups and as a freelance investigator.
In the summer or 2014 I decided to form Ottawa Paranormal Research and Investigations (OPRI) because I was sick of being on teams that were trying to imitate those they see on TV. I use my knowledge and experience to help those afflicted by extreme paranormal activity. I am considered by some a demonologist though I prefer to think of myself as a paranormal investigator first and foremost.
Currently, In addition to Lead Investigator for OPRI, I am Director of Demonic Investigation for the Haunted North America Network as well as Director of Assessment and Investigation for the Holy Order of Saint Micheal The Arch Angel. I have spent years developing a network of likeminded teams throughout North America and beyond to help anyone, anywhere that contacts me in need of assistance regardless of their situation or beliefs.

On April 12th, the Asylum Haunted Attraction burned to the ground. This was the sight of our first shadow capture and a great place to investigate. The owners have always been great to us and we would like to return the favor. Visit the link below to see how you can help Save The Asylum!

Hosts, Jonathan Lento and Deb DeRousse, are excited to spend the evening with Michelle Griffin.
For more than a decade, Michelle Griffin has been pursuing the connection between the spiritual, metaphysical, and paranormal philosophies. She conceived the idea of creating an event that bridged the gap between these three intriguing fields and it became Through The Veil. Since the first event, Through the Veil has taken on a life of its own as a spiritual meeting place where people come to experience the power of their existence. Viewing each event as a valuable stepping stone, Michelle continues to grow and share this wealth of knowledge with all who attend. She recognizes that synchronicity plays an integral role in defining her passion for assisting everyone in realizing their own perfect purpose.
Michelle has been featured in numerous publications, including "Haunted Times" Magazine, "Oracle 20/20" Magazine, skirt! Magazine and The Gwinnett "Daily Post." She is a contributing writer in Destiny vs. Choice by Marie D Jones and, Growing Up Psychic by Chip Coffey. Michelle also appeared in A&E’s Psychic Kids; Children of the Paranormal and the BIO Channel’s Celebrity Ghost Hunt.
Jen Pio has her Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology. She currently provides case management and outreach to the homeless community. She is a wife and mother with four beautiful daughters. Jen was born in Albuquerque, new Mexico. Her family then moved to California where she grew up in Long Beach. Jen loves playing softball and enjoying her family. She has always had experiences of what people call "de ja vu", or as she wouId like to say, "It's been seen". Her oldest daughter showed some psychic abilities at a very young age, but it trickled away as the years passed. She thinks partly because it was not focused on or encouraged enough. They currently live in Westminster, CA. for almost 2 years since moving from Kea'au, Hawaii where they lived for almost a year and a half. Jen will be speaking with us about the paranormal in Hawaii and her and her families experiences. One of the stories that we all have heard of is The Curse of Pele. "Pele’s Curse is the belief that anything natively Hawaiian, such as sand, rock, or pumice, will impart bad luck on whoever takes it away from the island. One version about the legend’s genesis is this: a disgruntled park ranger, angry at the number of rocks that were being taken from the islands by visitors, said that Pele would curse them with bad luck should they take anything. Another version often told is that bus drivers, tired of the dirt and grime brought on their buses by the tourists’ collection of rocks, started the story at the beginning of each tour to discourage the rock collecting. True or not, every year countless tourists send these back in order to escape the awful bad luck they acquired". (ZACH ROYER, paranormal Investigator.)
TOPIC: Paranormal Victoria Investigations & Research Society.
Our interests range towards all areas of paranormal research, but our main focus are ghosts, hauntings and parapsychology. We collectively have more than 25 years of academic and practical experience in other disciplines which includes (to name a few) photography, anthropology, videography and metaphysics (Reiki and Mediumship) that can be applied to our investigations.
Acting as paranormal archeologists, we will do our best to uncover the truth behind the activity at a location through the use of data gathering equipment, our senses, and historical research. We acting as open-minded skeptics always looking for the non-paranormal causes first.
My guests and I will discuss paranomal experiences in and around the Columbia, South Carolina area. My guests are both former prison guards, and one is also a retired City of Columbia, Police Officer. We will talk about personal paranomal experiences, and some of the most haunted locations for possible future research.
