Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.
Author Thatcher C. Nalley joins me on the Indie Books Show this week to talk about Letters from the Looney Bin and her other books.
In the late 1970s the Emerson Rose Asylum became completely abandoned - all the patients, doctors, staff vanished and were never seen again. The events circling this mass exodus have been one of the most baffling disappearances in history...until now. For hidden deep inside a tattered asylum mattress a stack of bundled letters were found. These letters, all addressed to the pseudonym Dr. Quill, and all written by the patients as they document the final days of the Emerson Rose Asylum.
Tune in Friday at 11AM EST or listen to the archive.

Skeleton Trail: A Riverview Mystery:
Bethany and Roger Meadows plan for a bright future, a guest camp and pack station that will cater to horse owners and adventure campers. The campgrounds, cabins, stables, and pavilion are ready, but there are no trails for the guests to explore.
Bethany and Megan venture into the woods to mark a trail, but a frightening accident brings her face to skull with a mummified corpse. She sends Megan and Kam out to guide FBI Forensic specialist David Harrison to the location of the body. After Megan leaves, an unknown shooter attempts to keep the murder a mystery.
Agent David Harrison finds when the bullets start flying Kam leads him to an abandoned cabin where they wait out the storm and the shooter. He discovers he wants to explore their shared heritage, in private.
With the evidence they uncovered in the cabin and the corpse itself, the mystery unfolds and the connections to current day become clearer. Crimes of the distant past link to crimes of the closer past and even to crimes of the present; blackmail, extortion, arson, and murder attempts link the body and some of the current residents of Riverview. David and Kam work with Megan and Aaron to uncover connections and reveal what occurred so long ago and how it might affect people in the town today.
David and Kam grow closer with each new danger, coming to appreciate the similarities in their pasts and the differences that draw them to each other. Once all the mysteries are solved, can they find a way to become a lasting couple, or will her past interfere with their future?
Marta Moran Bishop, author and poet, will sit down and chat with Karen Vance Hammond about her award winning paranormal novel Shoe Marks and her inspirational story. Shoe Marks is inspired by a true story and takes us deep into the world of the paranormal. A place where anything can happen.

When she learned of a woman who lived in a home that had paranormal activity, she was intrigued by the story, approached the owner and asked if she could write a novel about their lives.
While living with her own doubts she got to work. After the final manuscript was complete, she submitted Shoe Marks; to publishing companies. After countless rejection letters, Karen was loosing all hope that Shoe Marks would be published.
Not only was it published, but it went on to become an award-winning novel in the literary category. It adorns the shelves of libraries and classrooms across the world. Shoe Marks is Synegebooks best selling title in the paranormal genre and has been in the top 100-seller bracket numberous times on Amazon. Karen's second novel, Secrets in the Shallows from The Monastery Murders series, co-authored with Kimberly Brouillette has made the top 100 on Amazon twice since its debut and is now an award-winning title. This is our Sunday Sermon and today V.R. is preaching on "The Flying Scotsman” where he unpacks some insights into the Scottish Patron Saint of Andrew. This sermon was preached in Scotland, on the eve of the referendum for independence in the Kingdom of Fife, the constituency which finally pushed the ‘Better Together’ campaign of a NO to independence, across the deciding line. What can Andrew teach us about strength courage and perseverance together with all the associated benefits? Does this ancient union of nations called the United Kingdom, and Scotland in particular, need to see the rising of some more strong armed men of the Lord? You Betcha!
