Workshop Wednesdays with Tony Gambone with his guest Pamela Gockley & Peter Mehit
In 1996, a small Internet website graphics, design, and maintenance company called “Grumpy Graphics” was started by Pamela Gockley and Dean Hornberger. This venture blossomed in 2000 into an award-winning, multi-service company, Vigilant Corporation, headed by Pam as President, CEO, and Chairman. PennsylvaniaJobs.Com was the first affiliate in the Vigilant family. It is a recruiting website for businesses and also offers the "The Job Search Success" program that teaches job seekers how to navigate the hiring process. We have coached many people through the process. In 2004 Pam was selected as one of the Best 50 Outstanding Business Women in Pennsylvania, honoured for her years of success in owning and operating Vigilant, as well as her many years of service to the community.
Peter Mehit’s biggest strength is that he can quickly visualize business concepts and distill them down to a set of strategies and tactics that can be acted upon. He has used this ability in the creation of hundreds of business plans, the direct start up of dozens of companies and the analysis and improvement of scores of businesses. Mr. Mehit honed this experience as he worked across many industries worldwide as a professional consultant to multi-national firms such as Panasonic, DuPont, IAMs, Boeing and governmental agencies such as the U.S. Postal Service, the State of California and agencies in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. He also has the unique experience of working at the other end of the scale, as a member of many launch teams or as owner of several start up companies.

Artists You Should Know is all about people who are doing exciting things in the photographic industry. These people are the movers and shakers of photography and often set the pace on new ideas, techniques and trends in marketing and imaging.
Today's new podcast is with William Innes an outstanding wedding photographer, writer and instructor. However, today's discussion is related to two points in William's life. First, we're going to talk about some of the key things William did when starting his business. He made the transition from being an executive in the aerospace industry to a full time photography business. There are so many artists who have difficulties making the transition from their "day jobs" to a full time career as a photographer. Many of William's marketing and business skills came out of his business experiences long before photography became a passion.
Another aspect of William's skill set as a photographer is his focus on great gear. He recently became a member of Panasonic's Luminary team and his guest post about building rapport with clients through an engagement shoot features images captured with Panasonic's new LUMIX GH3.
Interested in checking out more of William's work? Visit his website and then check out his work in the LUMIX Lounge.
