    The Praise of our Lord
"A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!"

POWER UP's "Die, Angelo, Die" to Film in Palm Springs

    in Movies

"Die, Angelo, Die", the 16th film (and a feature at that!) from the non-profit LGBTQ production company, POWER UP, will be filmed in Palm Springs says the organization's founder and recent transplant to the city, Stacy Codikow.  "The city itself is alive and a beautiful place for sex, romance and intrigue," stated Codikow. "It lends itself to be captured in all its glory and we will do that with the support of local residents."

"Die Angelo, Die," is a Hollywood film noir thriller about revenge, redemption and what remains. What do you do when Hollywood director Angelo Anderson steals your film? The only thing you can do: write a screenplay about it and get revenge! The film will shoot in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California. It's a sexy, exciting film in which the city of Palm Springs is a vital character.  Residents can get involved and support the mission of POWER UP by visiting the Indiegogo page on or before November 15th, 2014.

West Palm Beach City Commissioner Shanon Materio

    in Politics

Join your host Wes Blackman as he welcomes once again West Palm Beach Commissioner and Lake Worth small business owner Shanon Materio to the High Noon in Lake Worth studios. You might recall that Ms. Materio was appointed to fill former Commissioner Bill Moss' seat upon his unexpected death soon after re-election. Within a year, she had to run a campaign to keep her seat and successfully defeated her challenger. No challenger filed to run in this past March's West Palm Beach election, so Shanon is enjoying her first full, two-year term as Commissioner. She and her husband Phil own the award-winning McMow Art Glass studio on Dixie Hwy. in Lake Worth and live in the southend of West Palm Beach. Commissioner Materio is joining me to talk about potential improvements to the C-51 canal, (ultimately designed to make the canal navigable), the potential redevelopment of the Palm Coast Plaza property and what will happen to the vacant land which borders the north side of the canal across from the Arbor Plaza in Lake Worth. I am sure we will talk about city infrastructure, the Lake Worth 2020 ballot issue, All Aboard Florida and what West Palm Beach plans to do to fund its future infrastructure needs.
