It's A Mind Thing! Love Beyond Reasoning!

    in Religion

WHAT DOES THE LOVING GOD HAVE TO DO WITH IT?

If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15). God has gotten His love to us, through His son Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Now He wants to get His love through us, by our obedience to His commandments.  Love has everything to do with it!  God is love (1John 4:8) and he wants His love to be reflected in his sons and daughters. God’s love is based on forgiveness.  This is why He tells us to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44). We are forgiving the pain and the suffering caused by them. God went through that pain and suffering so that now we can forgive without reasoning. We are to let go of the pain and suffering. Jesus shed His blood on the cross covering the burdens of our sins. We have been forgiven so that we can grow and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).  Replace the pain of suffering with love and forgiveness. Allow yourself to be free and grow. God has commandment to us to rejoice evermore (Thessalonians 5:16). Know that the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and God is the strength that you need to let go,    q forgive and love.

    in Music

Sunday - is the pain from breaking up in a committed relationship vs the breakup of a divorce?

This show is to discuss the level of commitment between two people who claim they love each other and want happens when the love goes awry. As someone who believes in living happy and healthy, I understand sometimes we have not vetted our spouses or loved ones in depth, and breakup is the only answer.

In Living with a person Is the respect different in the relationship?

Does family matter, ie having children?

What is the responsibility of the husband to the wife?

What about companionship? If you choose a life companion how does the strengthen differ from that of a marriage relationship.

What about the spiritual factor, does it matter if the couple is churched or unchurched?

Harmony in the relationship is key.
If you are married, are you with me because we are married or are you with me because you want to be with me? That is the guy's thought said one interviewee.

    What are your deal breakers?

    What is your unacceptable list?

Let's Talk About: Social Anxiety and ways to overcome it

    in Self Help

    Hosted by Lisa Erhard

Not the easiest topic but did you know that social anxiety is more common than you might think.

Do you find yourself avoiding certain social situations out of fear of being judged?  Or maybe you don't even know why you have anxiety, but you will go out of your way to avoid talking to people in certain situations.  You may be suffering from social anxiety.

You want to meet people, make friends, and share yourself with the world, but social interactions can be nerve wracking for all of us. People with social anxiety constantly doubt their social adequacy, and worry about what might happen if people don’t like them or if they say or do the wrong thing. Although therapy can be very useful for people who suffer from social anxiety disorder, there a number of techniques you can try to cure your anxiety without the need for professional help.

GOSPEL INSIDER HOSTED BY PROPHETESS LYNNETTE LONG

    in Religion

LOVE IS... One of the most powerful emotions out of all the emotions because it has the ability to bring life to a situation, and it can rearranged the atmosphere at any given time. The calm presence of LOVE brings a roaring sea to a peaceful, gentle positive flowing stream.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13 New International Version (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Interview With Sherri VandenAkker, Creator of the Film My Name Was Bette

    in Lifestyle

On this episode, we will interview Sherri VandenAkker and her sister, Krystyn White

Sherri is the creator of the film My Name Was Bette:  The Life and Death of an Alcoholic. This stunning documentary offers a shocking yet moving look at women's alcoholism.  The film chronicles the progression of the disease in Sherri and Krystyn's mother, Bette VandenAkker -- a nurse, wife, and mother -- who died in September, 2007.   The film, which was also created by Josh WE Hays, employs interviews, family photographs, medical records and graphics, and court documents to provide a personal and detailed look at the physical, emotional, and mental toll of alcoholism.  The film also also offers hope to those affected by the disease who seek to heal their pain and strained relationships.

On this show we will talk with Sherri and Krystyn about their personal journeys with their mother's alcoholism, as well as discuss what it was like to create the film.  If you have ever loved someone who struggled with alcoholism, you understand the challenges of loving someone with this disease.

This film is avaialble to rent on Amazon; to view the film click HERE.  Visit the film's website by clicking HERE
