This afternoon Mystic Moon host Lucy Hammond, of the LucyHammondBand, NW Roots Uprising, & many other productions..
Portland,Oregon based singer/songwriter Lucy Hammond,is a force to be reckoned with!
Possessing a powerfully versatile vocal & writing style, with stage presence to match, Lucy burst back onto the Portland music scene in early 2011 with the release of her all original, self produced studio album,"Proof".The 1st Portland blues artist accepted for a Kickstarter.com crowd funding campaign, Lucy used it to successfully fund the physical production of "Proof". Having distributed several pre-release singles by the time the album dropped, airplay & radio interviews were in full swing. "Proof" hit #1 on the Roots Music Charts,November of that year,& has remained on playlists world wide since.
Lucy's vocal abilities run the spectrum from soft & seductive, to a raucous growl, pulling her audience along with her, as she shares the emotion she feels with each song. In the traditions of Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, etc..
Lucy has shared the bill/stage with great artists such as,Kenny Neal, Bobby Rush, Candye Kane, Curtis Salgado, Duffy Bishop & many more..
"Never let anyone else decide what you're capable of or let anyone's opinion but yours decide your path! Go for it! Nobody can stop you,but you!" - Lucy Hammond

Randy Cooper has had many jobs and careers, ranging from lumberjack in the woods of the Pacific Northwest to serving as a special education teacher, from an operator at a Westinghouse plant to a developer and teacher of the Total Quality Management program at two of their facilities. As an artist, he credits his attention to detail to this latter experience at Westinghouse. Randy's mother was a master carver of birds and gunstocks, and one of his sisters is an accomplished painter, sculptor, and author. It wasn’t until Randy was nearly 50 that he discovered his own penchant for art. His first experience with art education was taking a 6-week course with sculptor Wren Prather-Stroud.
He also attended a week-long course with Tuck Langland at the Scottsdale Artists' School. After working successfully in clays, artificial stone, and bronzes, Randy discovered wire mesh, which soon became his medium. He began creating intriguing and magical sculptures in wire mesh and has developed all of the techniques that he uses in making his “Shadow Sculptures” on his own. These are forms created in wire screen that cast lovely shadows on the wall when lit with a light source. Indeed, sometimes the shadows seem to show more detail than the original sculpture and instill a feeling of magic into the creation. These “Shadow Sculptures” have been sweeping the United States and the world for the past few years, highlighting many private collections throughout the world, and Randy Cooper has become a major force among America's contemporary artists.Randy works as a full-time sculptor and lives in New Mexico with his wife, Susan, a former environmental engineer who is now a writer and an artist who has worked primarily in pastels, oils, and acrylics. I talked at length with Steve Isaacson about his intentions of running for US House in Arkansas D-3 in the 2016 election cycle, and I came away with the sense that Arkansas needs this man in office. His concern with issues facing veterans is grounded in his own experience there and thus, is sincere. The man also has a sense of humor that makes him delightful to talk to. Mr. Isaacson has read HR25, THE Fair Tax bill, and heartily supports it.
We also have requests out for appearances on the show by Fair Tax sponsor Ron Woodall and several other candidates. We hope they will join us, along with “Unfair: Exposing The IRS” producer Craig Bergman, with an official update on details about this important movie.
