SORT BY Relevancy
The 2014-15 NBA regular season is rapidly approaching!
In advance of Opening Night, we will be conducting our annual divisional preview shows. This week, we will be dissecting the ultra-competitive Pacific Division.
Will the Los Angeles Clippers be able to fend off their divisional foes and retain their Pacififc Division crown? Can a healthy Kobe Bryant help the L.A. Lakers return to relevancy following a dismal 2013-14 campaign? Will Stephen Curry continue his ascension to stardom under new head coach Steve Kerr? Will the Phoenix Suns emerge as legitimate contenders the Western Conference?
Be sure to join the boys from NBA Live Talk every Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. EST, only on Blog Talk Radio!
Adam Rickert and Brian Bobal are back and will begin their weekly division-by-division previews by tackling the rough Pacific Division. The two will go through a preview of what to expect from each of the seven teams on or near the West Coast and finish the show with their own personal predictions. Will the Anaheim Ducks win their third straight division title? Will the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings win the Pacific for the first time? Will the San Jose Sharks finally rise up? Or will a dark horse team surprise everyone? Tune in to Top Shelf Hockey at 8:30 ET/5:30 PT on Monday night to find out!

Dr. Sheldon Feldman is chief of breast surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and assistant professor of surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he oversees the breast cancer surgery program at the Comprehensive Breast Center of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, and work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons and other breast cancer support staff.
Dr. Feldman is helping to pioneer the use of the ductoscope, a tiny endoscope inserted through the patient's nipple used for diagnosis, surveillance and treatment of cancer patients. His research using the device may help lead to a simple test for early diagnosis that could eventually be the equivalent of a Pap smear for breast cancer. Dr. Feldman anticipates that the intraductal approach will ultimately be used to treat early breast cancer as well as ablating the milk ducts to prevent cancer development for high-risk women as an alternative to mastectomy.
A leader in minimally invasive breast cancer surgery, Dr. Feldman was instrumental in developing the transmammary axillary lymph node evaluation (TANE) procedure, which requires only a single incision for lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. He is also an expert in oncoplastic skin-sparing and nipple-preserving mastectomy.
His research interests are focused on preventing the disease through a better understanding of environmental toxins linked to breast cancer, including chlorinated pesticides, PCBs and PBDEs, and he is helping to investigate new biopharmaceutical treatments, including green tea extract and vitamin D.
Using Civil Rights Records to Find The Story In Your Community and Family
Please join genealogist and family historian Antoinette Harrell for a discussion of how and why researchers will want to explore the Civil Rights records to find relatives that were engaged in the Civil Rights movement throughout the South. Ms. Harrell will use a case example of Mr. Herbert Lee a Civil Rights leader from Amite County, Mississippi to illustrate what was documented in Federal Records about him.

The Division enforces federal statutes prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, disability, religion, familial status and national origin.

In continuing Nite Callers series on the American Sasquatcher, we bring you another American Bigfoot researcher Steve Wilkins from Washington state. Steve "Mojo" Wilkins was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Steve joined the Navy in 1981 and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2001. Steve and his family moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Washington State in 2004. Not long after moving to Washington, Steve renewed his boyhood interest in Bigfoot when he realized he lived in the Pacific Northwest, the mecca of Bigfoot activity. In 2009 he was posting to a Bigfoot message board and met up with Steve Schauer who was living in nearby Tacoma, WA. They met up and began researching in the Northern Cascade region where many Bigfoot encounters had been reported. That's when the Washington Sasquatch Research Team (WASRT) was formed. The two men were joined not long after by fellow team members: John "Pine Marten" Tschannen, Rusty MacIntosh, Dean Higgins and Art Viars. The team has been on dozens of expeditions between 2009 and 2015 throughout the state of Washington.
