As of May 20, 2014, all corporations at administrative hearings must be represented by counsel. Previously individuals could represent corporations, LLC’s, entities, etc. at administrative hearings. A common administrative hearing relates to an overweight truck violation. This podcast with Jennifer Burt will discuss overweight truck violations and how our office can be of assistance in appearing on your behalf.
In 2010, more than a third of children, teens too, were overweight and obese. Since then this number has increased. Our guest, Lauren Harris-Pincus, RDN (NutritionBabes) was an obese child. You would gasp as this truth if you saw her today. (Go the www.FamilyFoodExperts .com to see for yourself!) She struggled as a child and finally, on her own she figured it out and trimmed down over time. Now her career is spent helping others. Lauren knows what if feels like to be obese while trying to grow up and fit into school and parties. She remembers. She also knows how to guide verweight children into healthy ones. Join Lauren, Carolina and me as we share how and what Better Food Choices will turn those struggling with their weight into healthy productive and most importantly happy kids.
Our culture today has become obsessed with diets. Instead of that word simply meaning, "that which you eat", it has become a word that implies deprivation, starving, restriction, and sacrifice. There are so many fads and theories about how to achieve that perfect body, (whether realistic or not), and yet more and more people are suffering with allergies, digestive disturbance, and more serious conditions like cancer, celiac, and Crohn's Disease, as well as eating disorders such as anorexia, bulemia, pica, and Pradar Willi Syndrome. Despite the media and the quest for the perfect figure, the obesity epidemic continues and we know all too well (hopefully) how this condition can contribute to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, not to mention other conditions like arthritis that are complicated by increasing weight.
Last time, we discussed how Ayurveda views food as medicine and how to incorporate Ayurvedic principles to achieve perfect weight and balance. Today Nick and Joanna will be discussing how hypnosis can help manage and heal the myriad of eating disorders that seem to affect us today.
Is it a matter of willpower, or are we powerless to make the changes we need to make to live a happier, healthier life where we can live longer and prevent disease before it starts?
Whether it's a matter of a few pounds you would like to lose, or a more serious problem of obesity and/or a related illness, hypnosis can help, along with a sensible diet and lifestyle that decreases stress, and brings some ease and sanity to this epidemic problem.

Children who have obesity are more likely to have obesity as adults. This can lead to lifelong physical and mental health problems, including diabetes and increased risk of certain cancers.
Children who have obesity face more bullying and stigma.
Childhood obesity is influenced by many factors.
Working together, states, communities, schools, child care providers, and parents can help make healthier food, beverages, and physical activity the easy choice for children and adolescents to help prevent childhood obesity.
The good news? Childhood obesity can be prevented. Communities, health professionals, and families can work together to create opportunities for kids to eat healthier and get more active.

Cancer is a disease in which cells in the body grow out of control. When cancer starts in the breast, it is called breast cancer. Except for skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. Breast cancer screening means checking a woman’s breasts for cancer before she has any symptoms.. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. Most women who are 50 to 74 years old should have a screening mammogram every two years. If you are 40 to 49years old, or think you may have a higher risk of breast cancer, ask your doctor when to have a screening mammogram. Some things may increase your risk. If you have risk factors, you may be more likely to get breast cancer.
Reproductive risk factors
• Being younger when you had your first menstrual period.
• Never giving birth, or being older at the birth of your first child.
• Starting menopause at a later age.• Using hormone replacement therapy for a long time.
Other risk factors

• A personal history of breast cancer, dense breasts, or some other
• A family history of breast cancer (parent, sibling, or child).
• Changes in your breast cancer-related genes (BRCA1 or BRCA2).

WHY ARE WE SO OBSESSED WITH OUR BODIES AND SKIN TONE? IS PLASTIC SURGERY WORTH THE RISK? BUTT INJECTIONS GONE WRONG? IS SKIN BLEACHING DANGEROUS?
What's body image? Body image is how you see yourself when you look in the mirror or when you picture yourself in your mind. It encompasses: What you believe about your own appearance (including your memories, assumptions, and generalizations). How you feel about your body, including your height, shape, and weight. How you sense and control your body as you move. How you feel in your body, not just about your body.
