Anxiety disorders affect more than 40 million adults, causing lack of sleep, depression, and even addiction. Former lawyer Allison Carmen was an addict, but her addiction wasn’t to drugs, alcohol, or even gambling; her addiction was to certainty. Every moment, Allison desperately sought to know or predict what would happen next, trapping her in a spiral of anxiety, uncertainty and negativity.
Allison’s new book, The Gift of Maybe, provides the tools needed to embrace uncertainty as an opportunity. It inspires us not just to persevere through life’s challenges, but to alter our mindset and discover more hope, joy, and success as a result.
Join Allison Carmen and me on Tuesday, February 3, 10-11 A.M. CT US, as we discuss how embracing the concept of “Maybe” can reduce the stress and worry in our lives and open the doors to hope and possibility.

WEEKLY BOOK READ
Queen Afua has done it again! Her book SACRED WOMAN was very healing and gave us a journey to women's wellness, but OVERCOMING AN ANGRY VAGINA is specific and detailed in remedies for healing fibroids, vagina discharge, heavy bleeding and other problems that commonly affect woman that are in toxic relationships or have a toxic lifestyle. Vegetarian lifestyle, colon detoxing and detoxing from physically, emotionally and spiritually toxic relationships are discussed. She looks at how women are treated as indiviuals and how women are viewed on a global level that contributes to many "womb problems". Reading OVERCOMING AN ANGRY WOMB is down to earth, and reads like a conversation with a wise, gentle friend that tells you what you need to hear about being a woman in today's world. This book is not about being angry at men, but helps us to understand how poor relationships have shaped our views of ourselves and how to regain health and attract healthier relationships.

It's so good to be back! It's that time of the Year again. We've come off of a small hiatus and ready to get back in the sadle. We have a lot to catch up on. Baltimore has been a disaster. Bass Pro opened up after a Decade. Our beloved Grizz made it to the next Round of the Play-offs. Music Fest came and went. All things are looking pretty good right now but there is some trash that needs to be taken out. Sadly some people never learn so Monday I will hold a small Class. After the Monday Show, everything will finally be put to rest and things can get back to the way they should be. If you think your name might come up, you're probably correct. “Are You Called To Comfort”? Join me today as we look at the phenonenom of compassion fatigue or caregiver's syndome. Many of us are called to comfort and care for others. We are often called to "care" for others, sometimes because we "have to", and other times because we "want to". It is most often, a combination of both the "have to" and the "want to". So how do we "comfort others with the comfort we've received", and do it in a way that gives life to both the giver and reciever? Caregiver burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that may be accompanied by a change in attitude -- from positive and caring to negative and unconcerned. Burnout can occur when caregivers don't get the help they need, or if they try to do more than they are able -- either physically or financially. Many times caregivers who are "burned out" experience fatigue, stress, anxiety, and depressive symptims. Many caregivers also feel guilty if they spend time on themselves rather than on their ill or elderly loved ones. Today we will look at how to know if you are burning out, the feelings that come with caring for other another (on any level), and how to do it in a healthy way. So, we ask the question again, "How do we comfort others with the comfort we've received, and do it in a way that gives life to both the giver and reciever? Most of all, we find that the ability to comfort well is always connected to the caregiver's ability and willingness to receive care.
