Overcoming Adversity; Accessing Your Assets with Diane Williams, author of Angels in Action
Angels in Action is a compilation of seventeen personal, inspirational accounts of my experiences of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing; professional, familial, and financial trials; and building relationships. Each narrative demonstrates how a woman learns to live with the knowledge and strength afforded by a relationship with a power greater than herself and how she is transformed into a self-actualized individual by communing with her inner spirit.
Diane is a full-time freelance writer of books, book reviews, profiles, and journalistic feature articles and a graduate of the Masters of Communication program at the University of La Verne. Diane is also the author of the blog mindofagoddess.wordpress.com, and her work can be viewed on beampublishers.wordpress.com. Diane is currently working on her second, soon-to-be-released book: The Invisible Child: A Memoir

Fantastic Frank, born Frank R. Johnson, is the epitome of perseverance. As a young man, he was a successful chemical engineer and entrepreneur. Every day Frank meets his challenges, and is fueled with a passion to help others with his engaging, creative manner which is awe inspiring to everyone he meets.
Some of Fantastic Frank’s significant accomplishments consist of publishing a comic book, “The Young Explorers ©” and as a motivational speaker, he captivates and touches audiences like no other. Dr. James Perdue Professional Motivational / Inspirational Speaker and Author of “One More Play” is my guest.
Dr. James’s website: www.JamesPerdueSpeaks.com
James was a normal 19 year old with expectation of playing professional baseball, the major leagues. He was attending Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee on a baseball scholarship. He had the attitude of being invincible. After only being in college for two weeks and playing one college game in the fall, unexpected tragedy came a calling.
On September 11, 1983, James became a quadriplegic, dislocating three vertebras in his neck, from playing a football game. The doctor said, “James, I’m sorry. You’ll never walk again and you might be paralyzed from your neck down.” Later, the doctor advised his family to put him in a nursing home; he would be too much of a burden for them to take care.
Hear how Dr. Perdue worked hard to achieve success as a teacher and coach. He has been awarded Fox 17 Top Teacher of the Week 2005, Teacher of the Year 2002, as well as, Coach of the Year 2006 and 2000. He received the Jo Andrews Award 1995 and the Dr. Ramer Award 1991 both for overcoming adversity. Recently, he received his doctorate degree, in May 2011, from Tennessee State University. His demonstration of not giving up and striving through major challenges is apparent. Dr. Perdue knows he can help others pass through to the other side of tragedies to become triumph and become a survivor of difficulties.
What would you do if tragedy comes knocking at your door. You could run but you can’t hide. Do you have what it takes to overcome adversity? Dr. James Perdue will give you the three Ps that will encourage you to confront your troubles and learn how to succeed in life as well as in business.
This has been a long time coming for me. Through the encouragement of others, I have decided to allow my story and struggles to be a testimony for others that I feel that they are in need of it. This creation came about to bring out and bring up those fellow singles and any others that are interested in being a part of this journey. Topics will include but not limited to generational curses, relationships, as well as overcoming those undeniable limitations! Nothing great never comes easy, but know that you overcome this. Welcome to S.O.U.L.S (Singles Overcoming Unlimited Limitations)!
