We MUST step up to support, provide, protect, advocate and even battle on behalf of our children. Our children are OUR FUTURE, they are the leaders that we will follow tomorrow. Afican cultures throughout the continent and the planet see the family and OUR children's lives are our priority. We will be discussing real things that we can do to protect our children with practical and spiritual applications. We will have special guest Queen Taese, Homeschool Parent/Educator and Executive Committee Director for The Liberated Minds Expo as our guest speaker. She is a passionate educator who will share tips for keeping our youth alert, aware and conscious of safety and security in this time. As we aim to keep our subject matter relevant and current, we encourage you to join in chatroom discussions and call in with your questions.
Did you miss our recent special on "Saving OUR Children...The Michael Brown Tragedy", where we discussed the the REAL issues plaguing the black community and came up with REAL solutions for impacting our youth? If so, tune into "The Dedan Tolbert Show" TONIGHT at 9:00pm EST for a special rebroadcast. Are you teaching your children to truly take care of themselves and fill their own needs? Or have you made choices that leave your child dependent on you? Naturally we all want to keep our children safe, and of course we like to see them happy, but if we truly want to support our children expanding and growing then we need to foster their confidence in the Universe and their knowing of all they are capable of creating.
Join us for part 3 of a four part series created from a small group gather in October, 2014 with Delrae J Bantz, Life Strategist, Open Channel and visionary owner of the Life Learning Center of Self.
Join us on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in morning for a conversation with the Founder of "The Feed Our Children Ministries, Pastor Moses Brown. Feed Our Children Ministries is committed to being a source of support to economically disadvantaged children and their families, the homeless, and the elderly. The vision of FOC Ministries is to equip each individual we contact with the tools necessary in realizing their unlimited potentials. To leave no one hungry physically or spiritually and to enable each one we serve with the ability to serve someone else in need.
With an immediate goal to restore the families of each individual served, the long term goals of FOC Ministries are a return back to the community of individuals and families served to provide assistance to other families in need. To acquire a homeless shelter and be able to service more families with our products and services and to provide food shelter for orphans in third world countries as well as other services.
The food is given to the people at no cost to them. Further, the purpose of the food program is to feed the poor, not to grow our church. The food provided generally consists of fresh produce, cereals, breads, packaged goods, juices, canned goods, snacks, chips, candies, etc. The food boxes (usually a combination of boxes and bags) normally contain between 30-50 pounds of these food items.
HERE WE DISCUSS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM EVEN THE THINGS THAT WE CAN NOT SEE. HOW IT IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE YOU HANG AROUND, THE THINGS YOU EXPOSE YOUR FAMILY TOO AND YOUR OWN MENTALITY WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS. THERE ARE ENERGIES ON THE PLANET THAT ARE EVIL AND OPPORTUNISTIC AND DO NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE YOUNG. IN FACT, MANY EVIL SPIRITS PREFER YOUNG SOULS. WALK WITH ME AS WE TAKE A JOURNEY INTO THE REALM OF UNDERSTANDING OUR ROLE AS PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPIRITUAL WELL-BEING OF OUR CHILDREN,
Special Saturday Episode of LargeInCharge Radio
Our Children - Are we Influencing them Correctly?
When you’re raising kids it is not a complete science, we are all kinda bumping around trying to figure it out.
Tonight we are going to talk about some debatable thoughts on how we Influence our Kids.
From the way they we speak, the way we dress, the way we reward them with smiles and laughs. We are teaching our children what type of behavior is acceptable or not. What is expected of them, and what behavior is considered good or bad. We reward them with our attention, are you paying attention to the message you send?
Bring your views, thoughts, and examples of what you feel is acceptable or not.
Special Guest: Moses L. Rickett

Today's children, growing up with the Internet, are connected instantly to local and global events and very often the all too real acts of violence from terrorists, assassins, and killers of all kinds. They lose their childhood innocence way to early. Instead of playing games of "house" or "school" they reinact scenes of war and killing. The slaughter of nine worshippers at a South Carolina church was an act of domestic terrorism, and many wonder if it's safe to attend church anymore. In too many countries abroad, acts of violence have become acceptable. How do we teach our children, tomorrow's leaders, to change the world as it is, full,of race, religious and nationality based hatred? How do we teach them to eradicate the evils,of violence on their lifetime? Today's guests, Salma Mahmood of Pakistan, Fatima Traore of Mali, Boyede Sobitan of the Nigerian Professional Association and Gerald Hankerson, Outreach Coordinator of the Council on American Islamic Relation discuss this crucial topic.
