Rez and Andy welcome Oscar and Emmy winner Ron Grant. Ron has over 25 years experience in film and television and was instrumental in changing the Emmy nomination process to make it more inclusive and fair. He talks about the changes they made and how the industry is changing and being transformed by independent film and content producers.
Ron Grant won an OSCAR Award and an Emmy for Outstanding Scientific Achievement for the development of a film music software system called Auricle: The Film Composer's Time Processor. Ron has scored hundreds of film and television projects and numerous commercials totaling nearly 48 hours of continuous music. He has been at the podium conducting over 100 of his orchestral scores with some of the best studio musicians and finest recording facilities in LA such as The Newman Stage at 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Paramount, ToddA-O and Sony/MGM.
Ron also has served as Governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Music Division from 1996-2000, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of The Society of Composers and Lyricists.
In 2006, Ron started his own boutique animation company – Big Balloon Animation. Using the knowledge gleaned from his years of animation scoring, he began to write and produce educational products for the preschool market.

Albert Wolsky was born in Paris, France in 1930.His first entree was working as a "gofor" to legendary costume maker Helene Pons during her execution of the Adrian/Tony Duquette designs for the original Broadway production of "CAMELOT". ithin six years, he was designing Broadway productions under his own name and in 1968, he would have his first film credit, "HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER". Bringing the knowlege he learned while working on Broadway, Mr. Wolsky would concentrate his career on the designing of feature films. Over the next three decades he would build a body of work impressive not only by size but by it's addressing every possible film genre with a consistant level of design quality. His easy manner and eye for detail would not only bring him repeat assignments from his colleaugues but earn him the reputation as both Paul Muzarsky's and the late Bob Fosse's costume designer. To date, he has been nominated for the Academy Award five times, winning it twice. He was also honored by The Costume Designer's Guild with their lifetime achievement award. He worked with Bob Fosse, a leading Broadway director, on All That Jazz and won his first Academy Award. He won his second Academy Award for Bugsy in 1991 and has been nominated five other times, most recently for his work on Julie Taymor's Beatles-inspired musical Across the Universe (2007) andSam Mendes's Revolutionary Road (2008) and most recently for Birdman. He is the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award For Costume Design. In 2010, Wolsky donated his costume design sketches to the Margaret Herrick Library at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
