“The children are dressed and ready for school. But there is no food for them to eat,” the housemother of the orphanage informed George Mueller. George asked her to take the 300 children into the dining room and have them sit at the tables. He thanked God for the food and waited. George knew God would provide food for the children as he always did. Within minutes, a baker knocked on the door. “Mr. Mueller,” he said, “last night I could not sleep. Somehow I knew that you would need bread this morning. I got up and baked three batches for you. I will bring it in.”
Soon, there was another knock at the door. It was the milkman. His cart had broken down in front of the orphanage. The milk would spoil by the time the wheel was fixed. He asked George if he could use some free milk. George smiled as the milkman brought in ten large cans of milk. It was just enough for the 300 thirsty children.
As a young man Nigel Lewis was advised by both teachers and mentors that his grasp of language arts and creative writing was a gift that he should pursue as a career. Over the years, as an avid fan of all genres of film and books he developed an interest in how some of his favorite movies were written and produced, leading to his participation in several independent film shoots as a crew member, and expanding into minor acting roles. By 2006 his first script, a horror entitled “Black”, was written and he was in talks with an Atlanta, Georgia production company to pursue its sale, when he rededicated his life to Christ. The script was abandoned and all writing stopped.
Amid a dulling case of writer’s block, Nigel awoke in the middle of the night in the summer of 2008 with the memory of a vivid dream. He states “ God gave me an entire storyline from start to finish for my next script, told me I would write it for Him, and then told me to tithe it to my church! It was the most beautiful but frustrating thing I’ve ever had happen to me.” Nigel completed the script (titled “REV”) and the assignment in 2009, and immediately received four other storylines which he began to research and develop. As CEO of Illustrious Family Works, LLC and head writer of Illustrious Filmz he is now working to final draft his third feature “BOO” (described as a Christian thriller) and developing several television projects.
Nigel Lewis is a native of New Haven, Connecticut and resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is supported by his beautiful wife of 14 years, Sheila, and their two daughters, Daja and Jaaz. He attends New Beginnings Church of Matthews, North Carolina under Dr. Michael L Henderson and First Lady Rev. Twanna Henderson.

I heard this talk years ago and want to share it with you today.
Born in beautiful Brooklyn, New York, in 1927, a bouncing baby boy named Bobby Farrell was introduced to the world. His grandfather, Patrick Farrell, owned a successful auto parts company and life was good in "the old neighborhood." When the stock market crashed in 1929, it took its toll on the business and the family. Bob Farrell's father took his own life when Bob was only four years old. His mother couldn't cope and placed him and his sister in an orphanage. It was a safe place run by loving people. "I remember crying when I arrived and crying when I left," Bob would later recall, "I'm sure I gave those poor people a harder time than they gave me." His mother remarried five years later and got her children back.
In 1973, Bob Farrell sold his fifty-five store chain of ice cream parlors to the Marriot Corporation. He remained as its spokesperson and they added nearly a hundred more stores. It was during this time that he developed a speech for new employees called, "Give 'em the Pickle!", based on a letter he received from a disappointed customer. This speech began the third chapter of his career as a highly sought-after motivational speaker and author.

For many, depression creeps in.as the Yuletide season draws near, Nearly 17 million American adults and 2 million teens live with major depression independent of the pressure of the Holiday season. Commercialization of Thanksgiving, Hanukah and Christmas, romanticizing of the “Happy Family” and the bombardment by the media of images of smiling families and friends can push some people over the edge. Stress and anxiety of the holiday season—especially during the months of November and December-cause some to experience loneliness and a lack of fulfillment which evolves into depression.
So what is to be done to prevent"Holiday-induced depression"? Consider that “depression” is the spiritual equivalent to cancer that grows from within and it changes thinking and sense of well-being slowly and nearly imperceptibly, metastasizing to all parts of our being. Therefore careful planning is necessary to build your immunityagainst "Depression".
Start now designing what makes you happy during the holiday season; don’t just go with the flow and don’t privatize your pain. If you hate office parties; Don’t go to office parties: schedule a movie date with yourself or with a friend instead. Schedule a visit to a senior citizen residence facility or an orphanage or a local school and provide light refreshments and come with your camera and take pictures of the residents to be presented as gifts to the residents. Make yourself a “gift” to someone… spend some time doing something you seldom take time to do.Do something that is pleasant and memorable for you; start a tradition and reflect on what “gift-giving” is meant to be.
