The View Up Here has been talking about many campaigns in Canada from many different organizations. They all strive to expose the corruption, inform the public, and motivate people to become involved and present real alternatives. Despite the political intimidation via arms of the Government from Emperor and the Corporate Pacification Committee, these groups continue to grow and thrive and spread the message.
David Christopher of OpenMedia.ca joins us again to discuss, inform and encourage Canadians to participate in this positive campaign and others that are underway and will be coming. This campaign is supported by many leading groups well known for triumphing the rights of the individual against the power of the State.
Canadian Journalists for Free Expression. International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group. Privacy & Access Council of Canada. Free Dominion. BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association. We are not alone in wanting to defend and increase protection of the individual from the intrusion of the State.
Call in and find out how your voice can make a difference. Join David Christopher and @canadianglen, tell us what you think Canada needs (and what it doesn't need). The remainder of the show will expand on the surveillance state and what average citizens can do to combat it. Lines are open all night!
On Wednesday Novembr 26th, 2014, we will have Guest Mary Neal of the Mary Loves Justice Campaign. We will be discussing de- criminalizing mental illness, the need to Boycott 4 Justice for Michael Brown and other police murder victims, and why people who were arrested for marijuana are still in jail in states where the plant was decriminalized.

"The bitter irony of the Michael Brown case is that if he had actually put his hands up and said don't shoot, he would almost certainly be alive today"; Dear Obamedia: Here's how to not screw up the next Ferguson, assuming that you weren't screwing it up deliberately; Barack Obama's Ferguson sermon - surprise! - dishonored our police and disrespected the grand jury’s decision; Another of Barack Obama's goals with his unlawful amnesty decree was to enrage Republicans; Barack Obama's coalition is held together only by his personal mythography (remixed); and Tea Partiers and "establishmentarians" have to learn to get along if we’re going to, you know, win.

This is the season, anyway in US, where thoughts turn to being grateful, and appreciating what we have been blessed with. We hear so much of the bad, and many of us are experiencing it, how are we to be grateful? Hear the perspectives these two eclectic women are bringing in!
Brian and Ruthann welcome Stewart Alexander, former presidential candidate on the Socialist Party USA ticket. Stewart will be talking of why he will not be a candidate again. How does it work for a third party candidate in this uni-party system we have, in US? Also, we'll be talking of how the third parties, alternative parties, etc. need to join forces. How can we mske this happen?
Policy solutions and hope. That is what I hope to offer. I share with you the keynote speech from Friday evening's training event, Peggy Flanagan, Exec. Dir of Children's Defense Fund.
Yesterday it was announced that the Grand Jury in Ferguson decided to not indict the officer responsible for the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager who was shot six times by that police officer who claimed that he feared for his life.
A little less than 8,245 days ago I wrote a poem entitled, "Never Again" because I was in Los Angeles at a Laker game the night the riots started. And, as the days went on, I was getting a little tired of the pundits giving space to Pres. Bush who called the rioters, "thugs and crooks."
Rioting is wrong, but let's keep King's words in mind as we witness the reaction to the decision in Ferguson.
Martin Luther King --- as quoted by Amy Goodman on Democracy's Now coverage posted on youtube.com today: "It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard."

Meanwhile, Ferguson. The grand jury refused to indict Officer Darren Wilson - a very rare occurrence. Meanwhile, police departments across the country are coming under fire for the increasing number of shootings. What is the significance of the grand jury's decision? Do black people have a point about police violence against black youth?
We'll ask Bill Straub, Washington correspondent for PJ Media about these issues, as well as discuss the resignation of Secretary of Defense Hagel. Joining Rick in the second chair will be Oregon political consultant Jeff Kropf.
The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
