After ten years playing the bumbling Bart Biederbicke in the long-running NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives, Steve Blackwood resided in Michigan for six years. Now he lives in Newburyport, MA — teaching acting classes, performing in concerts and creating a new acting company called the MASTERCLASS COMPANY.
He has appeared in many other television shows and films including Judging Amy, Ed Gein, the Michigan-based Cedar Rapids, Machine Gun Preacher and Mooz-lum.
Onstage, Mr. Blackwood appeared in the Meadow Brook Theatre hit Boeing Boeing while living in Michigan. He also appeared in the sequel Ding Dong, which opened at Meadow Brook in March of 2011 and was nominated for two Wilde Awards, in the categories of Best Ensemble and Best Comedy.
An accomplished jazz singer with two national releases out, Steve has sung in nightclubs across the country, on network television, and has even performed the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.
Lynx is a bachata artist from the Bronx, who believes in writing original compositions in order to bring fresh and exciting material to the public. However, he is not your typical bachatero. Lynx debut single, "Máscara" infused bachata with opera and his most recent single off of the album, "Somos Uno", is about the importance of love and equality for people with special needs; a song he dedicated to his youngest brother Leonardo who is autistic and blind. This album will also introduce a type of bachata Lynx calls, "dark bachata", with the single, "Pena de Muerte"; the song tells the story of a murderer on death row, pleading for God's salvation and battling his inner demons. Lynx's story is both unique and intriguing and I think that your audience would really enjoy what he brings to the table.
BLACKWELL returns to radio with their latest single called Welcome To The Country which has already became a huge favorite when the band performs live!
BLACKWELL is a vocal trio led by singer/songwriter Braiden Turner along with singer/songwriter/guitarist Carey Blackwell and brother Dan Blackwell. All three are from musical families. Although Braiden is from Ottawa, much of her life has been spent in the small towns of southern Ontario where her family is from. Carey and Dan are from Northern Ontario where they began their musical lives
“Small town Ontario gives us the perspective of everyday people just like us” says Braiden, “We know how they think, because that’s how we think…and we can relate to them and they can relate to us! We’re all really very proud of our roots".
What else that all three have in common is their love of vocal harmony, original songs, the richness of their roots and their desire to showcase their brand of originality. Carey is also adamant that Braiden be featured out front and that he and Dan play supporting roles.“That’s where we feel comfortable” says Carey, “Braiden is the perfect vocalist and personality to lead BLACKWELL to where we want to go. She’s creative, determined and has so much energy it’s scary!”

Wow! That's about all I can say after talking with Lindsay Buroker. She's a powerhouse of information that no author should be without. From how she got started as a fantasy author to her exploration into sci-fi opera with a pen name, she doesn't hold back. Lindsay is a best selling indie author with a legion of fans awaiting her next book, and she does it right with well-written, engaging plots and strong characters. Do NOT miss this episode!
Inaya Day is a modern day House Music Diva who has worked with numerous artists, DJs, and producers to create hits such as "Horny", "Nasty Girls" and "Hold Your Head Up High" to name a few. She is constantly cranking out the hits such as recent duet with the legendary Crystal Waters and her new group "TRIO". Inaya is a sweetheart of a woman who is serious about the biz! We're fortunate to call her a friend of the show as she joins Nathan James and Meka Rae for Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne!
Today on the program I will be talking to Tim Morse of the the Mangoes. They have just released their self titled debut almum and it is fair to say that it is an absolute delight. While most artists love to stick in a particular genre these guys know no bounds. Are they 60's pop, 70's prog, 80's rock? I don't know. But they sure are fun to listen to. Please joinus and listen in for what I am sure is going to be an interesting interview, we will also be playine some tracks from the album.
The Mangoes first album is really a rock opera and we've used different genres of music, instrumental interludes and guest musicians/vocalists to help tell the story. While the story takes a serious turn at the end we want the listeners to know that the whole thing is very tongue in cheek. It's just a story and no Mangoes were hurt in the making of it!

An eternal party is the theme for Eternal Jam Machine’s single “Dancing In Heaven." Eternal Jam Machine was birthed in 2014 when founder Rob Williams had a vision to create music with a positive message infused with mainstream artists set against a pop/electronic dance background. Rob's dream came to fruition last week, when his vision, titled, "Dancing in Heaven" made its debut on VEVO on Friday, November 14, 2014. London based singer/songwriter and producer Jahna Sebastian performed two sets that evening, one with rap trio "The Lost Enemy". They performed their smash hit "One and a Million" and her current single "Love Over Hate". On her second set the songstress premiered her new single “Us” off her upcoming EP “Love Over Hate”
