Actor Eric Stonestreet predicts that one day, it's not going to take an act of courage for an openly gay person to play in the NFL."It's going to be considered common. It's not going to feel taboo, and people are not going to feel they need to be closeted or keep their sexuality a secret because of other people's opinions," Stonestreet told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
The "Modern Family" star, who plays a gay man on the popular ABC show, said, "Times are changing and Jason Collins, Michael Sam and those guys who have come out are most definitely having an impact with society."Sam came out as gay before this year's NFL draft. He was drafted in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams. Collins, who played basketball for the Brooklyn Nets last season, is the first openly gay athlete to play in a professional league in North America.

The NFL officials are making it crystal clear to teams this week that gay slurs will not be tolerated on the field. While officials have had the ability to determine various actions "unsportsmanlike conduct," this new policy makes those slurs explicitly against the rule and punishable with a 15-yard penalty. Yet other leagues suspend players for the same incident. Is a 15-yard penalty in football enough?
Plus, the Gay Games kick off next week. Outsports will be there covering the Games from Cleveland all week. We reminisce about some of our favorite Gay Games memories and invite you to share yours!

On the July 30, 2014 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:
Hobby Lobby is in the news again. This time the pro-family organization is being called out for firing an employee that needed to take time off to give birth.
Gay marriage bans are dropping like flies. This time it is in the 4th circuit where 5 states in the central east coast are covered by the ruling. One has to wonder how long it will take for the courts to finally say that the gay marriage issue is settled and you cannot dicriminate. Hopefully that will be sooner than later.
Finally, I will have on as a guest Mark Moseley. Mark is a Louisiana blog publishier, journalist, and a guru of politics. I will have him on to discuss a variety of issues including if the Democrats can take advantage of the current fractured state of the GOP.
Those issues, tweet of the week, words of redneck wisdom, headlines and more at 8pm Central on Liberal Dan Radio: Talk From The Left, That's Right.
And as always, if you missed the live broadcast you can always add your opinion on the show threead on LiberalDan.com.
King Saul quits the sneaky approach and openly orders David to be assassinated. God saves David through first the king;s son and then the king's daughter. And then soldiers who are in pursuit of David become filled with the Spirit of God and begin prophesying. Even Saul himself has that experience. What a dramatic series of rescues God provided for David, and that wasn't the last of the miraculous deliverances that God arranges for David. This is a wonderful example of how we are protected from harm.
In reading the Bible through and listening to several great preachers, I've come to believe and understand that if anything touches our lives, it's because God allowed if -- even if an injury, illness, or great loss. We can be sure that God will use what comes against us for our good. And He will protect us, just as He protected David.
There is an epidemic in the community and it is just not in the gay community but in the African American community. The sad TRUTH is that you have it and you don't even know it. When was the last time you were tested? A more important question is: Are you practicing SAFE sex daily? How well do you know the person you are kissing and loving? Do you know their status? Do you know YOURS? Herpes is a disease that has affected one out of six people in the United States between the ages of 14-49. The CDC has estimated that at least 25% of Americans are infected with Herpes (HSV-2). At least 90% of the population has herpes -1, which are cold sores. It does not matter if you have never been with a man your partner may have and unbeknownst to her or him and you, you both may have now been exposed and or be a carrier. Herpes is an Infection that is more easily transmitted from men to women than from women to men. In the United States, an estimated 81.1% of 14–49 year olds infected with HSV-2 have never received a clinical diagnosis. When it comes to the LGBT community where the actual statistical breakdown of STD? Where is the written information that is geared toward lesbians when it comes to safe sex?
Question to family, why do male identified women not go to the gynecologist or get tested on a regular?
A myth that two woman loving each other will not catch anything - false.
Myth that a stud strap on and cannot catch a STD-Guess what FALSE!

Range of motion (ROM) usually decreases when you’ve had an injury or surgery.
However there are times when you can have decreased ROM and it’s not related to an injury or surgery. Emotional chemicals can store in certain parts of your body and as a result inhibit range of motion. Sometimes there is neither an injury nor an emotional upset of any kind, but there is a stiffness or tightness that is inhibiting ROM.
Join your host, Stacey Vornbrock, the Sports Performance Pioneer, as she discusses in-depth these three issues that decrease range of motion and what you can do to regain your full movement.
Stacey has pioneered the use of EFT with range of motion issues and has helped hundreds of professional and amateur athletes increase their ROM by as much as 60% or greater. Her breakthrough Injury and Surgery Recovery Program has helped many non-athletes fully recover their ROM.
Stacey Vornbrock, M.S. is pioneering the use of EFT with professional and amateur athletes to release mental, emotional, physical, and mechanical blocks on the cellular level. She is recognized as a leading expert in the use of EFT with sports performance and is the author of nine Breakthrough Performance Sports Manuals as well as ebooks for non-athletes.
We will be discussing the evolution of sports reporting and the ways in which the proliferation of cable television and social media has changed the way sports are presented and reported.
Joining the disucussion is Clemson Assistant Professor and author of It's A Whole New Ballgame: How Social Media is Changing Sports James Sanderson. Also joining us will be sports writer and biographer Bill Gutman who has been following sports since the 1950's and has interviewed many top athletes from past years. Gutman also has some strong opinions about the changing world of sports and sports media. It should be an informative and fun show!
