Transformational Life Skills are about creating your future on the edge of your imagination... This episode will focus on the first of these skills-Letting Go. Becoming open-minded creates room for clear thinking allowing you to move forward with ease. I will share two processes for examing your thought patterns and clearning the clutter out of your mind. In the movie, The Secret Mike Dooley states "Thoughts become things." Wouldn't it be great if every thought you had was the best thought you could be thinking.

**This program is rated "R" because it may not be suitable for black people of any age who are still in a typically vulnerable stage of self-acceptance/rejection in regards to their hue. It may be psychologically harmful for such people as it reviews scientific literature on the subject in the tiltle of this episode***
This episode will pick up the converstaion where it was left at the end of the 6-29-14 episode entitled "Black Men, Black Women, Bed-wenches & Nig@erstock."
In order to address this problematic behavior for the black collective today, we will discuss the seemingly hundreds (maybe even thousands) of years black men have been drawn to and, perhaps, even preferred white and other non-black women. Is this a preference hard-wired into biology? If it is, what's next? If it isn't, what's next?
Lets' get to the root of this thing >>> Pun intended.
Becoming open minded? This can be challenging, we were raised up with certain beliefs and values and we tend to surround ourselves with people of similar beliefs and values. Heizal Njuguna and Monica Kangethe will give us tips on becoming open minded. Listen live at 619-393-2852/www.pinnacleofpraiseshow.com

Open mindedness is when even if you think you are right, you know that you can be wrong and are always willing to listen to and hear an opposing or contradictory view.
Open minded people have views but know that their views do not have to be held by everyone. Open minded people also know that their views can be wrong.

Searching the depths of perceived, and known truths, in order to gain a new conscious awareness, that will bring about the change needed in our psyche, to manifest, and align the Spiritual, Emotional, Mental, and Physical changes that need to be in place in order to give birth to the New Paradigm.
Being a single mother is never easy. Raising a family alone requires that you perform the roles of two people, the father and the mother. You will not have the luxury of sharing many of the jobs that two parents have, but nevertheless, you will need to address the concerns of these jobs: provider, disciplinarian, comforter, guidance counselor and so forth. It is important to realize, however, that being a single mother does not mean that you need to be alone. In order to be successful, you will need to learn how to make decisions and act on them (e.g. how to use community resources, parental and family support, get financial aid, get respite time etc.) so that the needs and interests of your children are met. You can be ready to meet the many challenges of a single mother by knowing how to handle such challenges in advance. Join in as Aixa and Deborah share their day-to-day challenges of parenting and meeting their needs as women.
