    Thriller novelist James Hankins steps behind the microphone at Authors on the Air to interview his friend, thriller novelist Daniel Palmer, author and son of the late, great Michael Palmer. Daniel Palmer spent a decade as an e-commerce pioneer helping to build first generation websites for Barnes & Noble and other popular brands. An experienced musician and songwriter, Daniel has recorded two CDs and licensed his songs for commercial use. Daniel's co-written two short stories for the trade organization International Thriller Writers, which were published in Thriller (edited by James Patterson) and First Thrills (edited by Lee Child). Daniel's novels of domestic suspense frequently explore the hidden dangers and vulnerabilities of an increasingly tech-centric world. He holds a master's degree in mass communications from Boston University, and currently resides in New Hampshire with his wife and two children.

    All four of James Hankins' books (SHADY CROSS, BROTHERS AND BONES, JACK OF SPADES, and DRAWN) spent time in the Kindle Top 100 and became Amazon #1 bestsellers, while BROTHERS received a coveted starred review from Kirkus Reviews and was named to their list of Best Books of 2013. James lives with his wife and twin sons just north of Boston.

    Jazz collective Sasha’s Bloc solidifies their growing presence on the U.S. music scene with an original album that hearkens back to the Big Jazz Band sound of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s, and to a performance style that evokes such seminal acts as Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Count Basie, Scott Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald and more.

    Sasha’s Bloc is an amalgam of varied artists, nationalities and experiences, all fueled by bassist and songwriter Alex Gershman to deliver a sound that is consistently big, boisterous, full of spirit and rich in everything that makes jazz linger as an American phenomenon. On Heart On Fire, Gershman is honored to have Grammy-nominated vocalist Jane Monheit perform on multiple tracks.

    Horton worked for the Comm of PA. for 27 years After receiving call for ministry she took a leap of faith and retired Sept 2000.


    She has completed course studies at Palmer Theol Seminary receiving certificates of Biblical Studies, Christian Studies (2003) and a Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies (2006) in the Eastern School of Christian Ministry program. She is also a graduate of the Clergy Development Institute; Rev. Dr. Damon Jones, Dean (2009). Currently Minister Horton is enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary, Department of Continuing Education completing studies for a certificate in Theology and Ministry. She has taken classes at Temple University Pan African Studies, Community School for Business; Wharton School of Business–University of PA and is a graduate of South Philadelphia Beauty Academy.


    She is a conference and retreat speaker and has also had the privilege of ministering in Ghana, West Africa. She is a member of The Women’s Fellowship of Philadelphia, Daughters of Thunder, Women on the Wall Ministry, Fellowship of Women Clergy, Pa. Eastern Keystone Baptist Association and Philadelphia Baptist Association.


    Minister Horton spreads the gospel of Christ through preaching and teaching, creative dance, spoken word, stage performance and writing. She is a self-published author; Days, Times Measures and Moments, Just For You and currently, The Other Side of Threw. Formerly, Min. Horton was a contributing columnist for Divine Inspiration Magazine. She is and a contributing writer for the book “Beautiful and Fearfully Made”.
