Author Nick Pirog on "Henry Bins", "Thomas Prescott" on Authors on the Air

    in Books

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes author Nick Pirog.  I read 3:00a.m., Nick's novella and was completely captivated.  I read his "Thomas Prescott" series too and was sold on his funky writing style.  Here is what I learned about Nick.  "Many authors have shaped my writing style, but I put three writers on a pedestal; John Grisham, Nelson DeMille, and Michael Crichton. The first two authors are basically the antithesis of one another.  John Grisham's stories are so good  that you don't care that his characters don't jump off the page. Nelson DeMille's characters are so grand and hilarious that you don't care what happens in the story.  And last, M.C. (RIP), who somehow carved out a genre all his own and for that alone, I cherish his works."  To purchase Nick's books go to http://amzn.to/1JE9Kco  or visit his website at http://www.nickthriller.com/.  THIS IS A LIVE INTERVIEW SO JOIN US BY CALLING 347-633-9609.

    in Books

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack is delighted to welcome the very talented and very funny best-selling author, Lani Diane Rich, for a LIVE conversation about - everything!  About Lani:  I'm Lani, and I'm a writer, a teacher, and a mom. I live in Syracuse, NY with my husband and two daughters. My favorite color is yellow, and I have a thing for polka dots that borders on the ridiculous. I wrote my first book, "Time Off For Good Behavior" during NaNoWriMo - and was the first previously-unpublished author to publish a NaNoWriMo manuscript.. "Time Off" won the Rita Award for Best First Book, and I went on to publish another seven solo novels and one collaboration. So, apparently, it wasn't a fluke. I find that comforting.  See Lani's books at http://amzn.to/1Dp6k8n and visit her website at http://lanidianerich.com/.  THIS IS A LIVE INTERVIEW. YOU CAN CALL TO CHAT AT 347-633-9609.

Authors on the Air challenge winner writer Kenneth Weene on Authors on the Air

    in Books

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes author Kenneth Weene to the studio. Kenneth won the Facebook Challenge and is visiting to discuss his books, process and marketing books.  Here is what he told us about himself.  "Sometimes Ken Weene writes to exorcise demons. Sometimes he writes because the characters in his head demand to be heard. Sometimes he writes because he thinks what he has to say might amuse or even on occasion inform. Mostly, however, he writes because it is a cheaper addiction than drugs, an easier exercise than going to the gym, and a more sociable outlet than sitting at McDonald's drinking coffee with other old farts: in brief because it keeps him just a bit younger and more alive.".  This is a LIVE broadcast.  To join the conversation please call 347-633-9609.  Podcast available On Demand at the same link 24/7/365.
