Introducing the newest issue of the FREE Blessed Living Women's E-Magazine, publisher Jill Bond briefly describes several articles.
Issue 4 -- When Life Hurts is available world-wide via www.blwemag.com
Let’s admit it. Sometimes life just hurts. Sometimes we’re immersed in physical pain. While at others the pain is more emotional. The worst pain to me is always spiritual pain – especially of my own making.
But the good news in all of this is that God provides answers for us. When it is physical pain, through prayer and Bible study we can discern what actions He wants us to a take. With emotional pain, as in deep grief, only He can sustain us and get us through it. And with spiritual pain, that amazing, sacrificial blood of Jesus cures it all. That pain, though the worst for some because they seem to cling to it as if it were a lifesaver, can be the cause of so much joy for those who hand it over to Christ. He can take that hurt and transform it to purity, forgiveness, and redemption.
Sometimes the pain lingers, sometimes the pain dissipates, and sometimes it just disappears instantly. But in each and every instance of hurting, God can work a mighty work in who we are as people.
Join our writers in this issue as they learn more about our loving Abba Father who works miracles when our lives hurt.
Our Sister-in-Focus, Louise Carson, has triumphed marvelously with a life filled with complications and pain and yet, her praises reach His throne room.
We introduce several guest writers: Donna Conner, Krista Browning, and Emily Kirby. To give you some emotional white space, we add some practicality with apple recipes, soaking solutions, refurbishing examples, bread tie uses, computer fixes, and a custom nativity set plan. Our staff fills in the rest with articles.

From the day she discovered she had a voice that could touch millions, Olivia Longott put in long, hard hours in the studio, trying to achieve her dreams of R&B superstardom. With such royal talents, she fully deserved the title she was given as First Lady of J, the legendary Clive Davis’s label, and then First Lady of G-Unit, when she landed a second deal with G Unit/Interscope Records. Olivia quickly made it clear that she is nobody’s number two. With dual recording deals in hand, Olivia thought her dream had manifested—until she left both labels in what felt like a nightmare.
Being the fighter her daddy taught her to be, Olivia would not let these challenges hold her back from the industry. Instead, she used the experiences as a setup for something new. The world saw her jump back into the ring swinging on the Love & Hip Hop reality show. Sometimes, though, reality isn’t always what it seems. That’s why Olivia has taken the time to sit down and pen what it truly is. During her unfolding journey in the music industry, Olivia has seen, heard, and experienced a lot. Now it’s time to bring you into her world.

Life is quick and time is quicker.
One of the hardest and most harmful traits we humans possess is our inability to ?LET GO? of things of the past. Things that can no longer support us in the direction in which we want to go. By holding on to that, which needs to be buried; because it's dead, causes untold havoc in our lives. For a seed to grow into a plant, the seed must be transformed. It must shed its former self…it must die to what it was to become plant that it is destine to be. You must die to the old, so that you can live in the now which is your destiny. Join me, Dr. Wendy Dearborne Choice Expert and Expression Coach Olivia Lashley as we delved into understanding the need to die before you can live.
~~Michelle Cooke takes Technology Expresso Radio behind the scenes and shares what happens leading up to the annual High School Computer Competition.
The BDPA National High School Computer Competition, (HSCC), was founded in 1986 by Dr. Jesse Bemley, of Washington, D.C. What started as a two-team event between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Ga. has grown to over 20 teams of various high school students from chapters throughout the nation. It's all designed to introduce our Youth to the field of Information Technology, encourage them to seek higher levels of education, and groom many of them to become our next generation of IT professionals.
Throughout the year, local chapters conduct SITES training programs for the youth in their communities. These programs are designed to expose our youth to the concepts of computers and give them the expertise to develop web applications. Some chapters will participate in regional competitions throughout the country to further prepare their students. Each BDPA chapter is able to send one team of 3 to 5 students to the National Conference to compete against teams from chapters all over the country.
