    Founder and President of International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) and community activist devoted to infant mortality prevention, breastfeeding promotion, and increasing the number of midwives of color.

    In addition to being a Certified Midwife by the Massachusetts Midwives Alliance, she is also a Childbirth Educator, a Doula Trainer, and mother of seven children. Shafia M. Monroe is a health activist, organizer, and international speaker. Monroe is the founder and President of the International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC); the nation’s first Black midwifery training, breastfeeding promotion and capacity building non-profit organization, headquartered in Portland, Oregon.     This weeks radio show will not be structured around any particular theme.  Instead, we are having open mic!  Sarah Swain (attorney), discusses the Shona Banda case, and much more!   Lisa Gresham will be updating us on the Pure Life case in Northern California.  Amy Povah is updating us on the conference in DC!  Richard Albertini tells us his story about being raided, incarcerated and afterlife of prison!  We are encouraging defendants and X-Pow's to call in, however anyone can call and tell us what is going on!  Ras Ible called in to give us a shot out about ending prohibition and ending homelessness!  We would love to hear from you and how the war is effecting your life! Regular Guests include Craig Cesal (serving life in prison), Stephanie Landa, Mindi Griffiths, Miggy 420, Tom Korby, Dr Allen and more!    Our show brings the voices for you help you understand the trauma going on with those and those possess, sell or cultivate cannabis. Over 50 people are serving life sentences and have been in since the 80's. Through a series of shows, you will hear from their family members and the prisoners themselves. This show is an effort to remind the world of their sacrifices.  Voices of Cannabis War is hosted by Eugene Fischer (who spent 25 years of a life sentence in federal custody for our plant) and Kristin Flor (who's father died shackled to a bed because our plant is federally illegal).  It is presented to you by volunteers, Becca Nichols, Mindi Griffiths, Kristin Flor and Eugene Fischer.

    Sgt Cory Ryan Huskey. I was born in Portland Oregon. I joined the army in 2010 at 19 years old as a combat medic. I was stationed at fort hood where I deployed to Iraq with 2-82 field artillery, 1st CAV in 2011. I went to flight medic school in 2012 and upon completion I was assigned to C CO (DUSTOFF )3-2 GSAB in South Korea. I flew for them as a flight crew medical officer for a little over two years until I was diagnosed with epilepsy and sent back stateside for a medical evaluation board. Currently, I am assigned to the warrior transition unit at joint base lewis-mcchord where I am receiving medical care and legal assistance as I transition out of the army. I am married to my wife l, Rebecca and we currently have no children (just two very large dogs).

    Bridgette McHale, is a graduate of Eastman School of Music - University of Rochester,NY. She became a member of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation & earned a brown belt with high honors. She then enlisted in the US Marine Corps to serve her country. After graduating as the 2nd highest in her platoon with an award for expert marksmanship from Parris Island, & attending the Armed Forces School of Music to learn electric bass. Bridgette became the first female Bassist (string & electric) in Marine Corps history to serve.During this time, she obtained many awards and honors for conduct, knowledge, expert weapons handling (M16-A2 Service Rifle)and Marine Combat Training (MCT). She quickly advanced ranks to Sergeant of Marines. After sustaining TFCC ligament tears, DeQuervain injuries in her wrists and hand Bridgette's musical career ended. Undeterred, and after being encouraged to get into Voice Over and Film/Television. Bridgette took voice-over and commercial acting classes with Dru Scott, professional Voice-Over Actress and studied privately with Larry Goodman. Bridgette has since published two children's books available on Amazon.
