Patricia J. Turner (Pati) is a Biological Anthropologist who spent 12 years working as a Marine Scientist. During that time she began studying anthropology and became deeply committed to conserving the wisdom of our indigenous brothers and sisters who still live sustainably on Mother Earth. In 2004 she Founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: Tierra Sagrada, The Sacred Earth Foundation dedicated to the conservation of indigenous cultures, their territories and their wisdom.
During the last 15 years, The Sacred Earth Foundation has hosted indigenous Shamans, Elders and Medicine Women from Greenland to Peru to share their wisdom within our communities. Profound healing both physical and spiritual has been witnessed during these workshops and private healing ventures. The Sacred Earth Foundation also offers opportunities for Sacred Sweat Lodges, programs of initiations, ancient traditional weddings and, in May, they will offer the ceremony of The Long Dance in the traditon of Beautiful Painted Arrow, a Picurus Pueblo/ Ute Native American who is a visionary of highest esteem.
During her journey on this path, Pati has found immense joy in the guidance she has received. She has seen many young adults, who carried great fear over the condition of Mother Earth, find a new way of walking on her skin with great hope for the future. In a culture that is so plagued with depression, she has witnessed the healing joy that accompanies the ancient ceremonies and beliefs of our great teachers who live in harmony with Mother Earth.

Listen to this episode of the Pan-African Journal hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. We will feature our regular PANW reports focusing on recent developments in Libya where a pro-Gaddafi demonstration was held in Benghazi, the birthplace of the imperialist-backed counter-revolution of 2011. This protest was broken up quickly by reactionaries. These events came in the aftermath of the release of a video showing the systematic torture of Saadi Gaddafi and the death sentences handed down to Seif al-Islam and other Jamahiriya loyalists. Also in the PANW reports include updates on the seizure of a hotel occupied by United Nations forces in Mali; the upcoming political struggle inside the US Congress over the ratification of the Iran nuclear deal; and the death of a Palestinian father whose child was killed by an Israeli settler several days ago. During the second and third hour we highlight the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act passed during the height of the Civil Rights Movement in 1965. We will hear the voices of people from Selma and others in regard to the history of the Act as well as the attacks that have devastated the original intent of the law.

According to The National Center on African American Marriages and Parenting, in 1970 70.3% of African Americans between the ages of 20 and 54 were married. In 2008, it was less than 39.6%. So can someone please tell me what happened to our black neighborhoods and the united black families who once occupied them? We'd like for you to listen and partake in this discussion on how the correlation and variance of these statistics have possibly plagued the future of our culture. Tune in for part II of this topic.

What is not funny is the murder of at least 250 men women and children April 10 1948. It was the biggest round of murders from the 1947 "move in" of the gutter trash from Eastern Europe that included Ben Gurion, Begin, and Sharon. They murdered their way to heading a corrupt for 1948 on. Netanyahu is the heir of all that was and is bad and smelly about Israel.
As I have said before my hate goes to the bone. I will never get used to the idea of the delibewrate slaughter of an ethnic group. This program is the only way I can get the word mout of the bastards that have done this and gotten away with it for these many years.
Our United States is fully complicit in this terrible atreocious country called Israel. There is no excuse for us to be involved, ever. But we are. It must change. We cannot erase history like the zionists, but we can make up for it by stopping them at the voting booth. all nominees must not have taken any funds from the Israel Lobbys and especially Sheldon Adelson. If they won't answer, cut them from your vote
Last Friday, [most of] the Supreme Court ruled on the right side of history. Since this country was founded, an entire group of people have been marginalized and disenfranchised. Loved ones were barred from visiting their ill partners in hospitals. Basic tax and social benefits were denied. Appeals fell on deaf ears or were held up in the bureaucracy indefinitely. Today, The Fruit is proud to say that America has taken a giant leap toward equality for all. Friday's 5-4 decision to legalize marriage in all states and territories, did not come without it's share of criticism, however. Opponents decried that five unelected lawyers do not have the authority to decide the will of the American people, while others slammed the Justices for rewriting the Constitution. Some Republican hopefuls [*cough* Huckabee *cough*] even said that the Supreme Court “cannot overrule [g]od” on gay marriage. Many have lambasted the Court's ruling with warnings of [g]od's wrath or the coming persecution of Christians. To those grumbling about marriage equality, The Forbidden Fruit crew has one thing to say to you. Love wins! You lose! Get over it! Call in and tell us how you celebrated the ruling or why you think it was a mistake.

Jonathan began playing on a marching snare drum at the tender age of six. By the age of eight, he began playing school dances, talent shows, and house parties locally. At age ten, Jonathan began playing in nightclubs with his two older brother’s band. “They’d sneak me in through the back door and I’d play the gig till 1:00 or 2:00 am. My parents said as long as I didn’t go by the bar, and my brothers watched me, it would be ok! I’d get paid too!! It was great”!! After about 3 years with his brother’s band, he joined another local group and showcased his gifts. In the years that followed, from age 12 to 23, he performed locally with several prominent bands throughout the region and built up his reputation, which led to his stage name, “Sugarfoot”. Then in January 1979, Jonathan drove out and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goals and aspirations. After arriving in Los Angeles in January 1979, he was in contact with Jermaine Jackson and his brothers, and the groups, Undisputed Truth and New Birth. Formal requests from these artists were considered but Jonathan decided to join, The Jacksons. After just five weeks in Los Angeles, Jonathan embarked upon his first major tour with the Jackson Family in the spring of 1979.
Jonathan was a success, and two more U.S. Tours with the Jackson’s followed in the winter of 1979 and the other in the Spring/Summer of 1981. His career was off to an incredible start, 1982 was packed with two additional tours, one in the spring with Patti Austin and in the fall with the R&B funk group Cameo. The Jackson relationship again resumed for the massive 1984 Jacksons’ Victory Tour, which occupied the greater part of that year.
Recently an article was published by the Patriot Ledger, a media publication based in Quincy, MA. The article was a discussion about a Holocaust survivor. We always like to read stories about anyone who survived that horror. We all know about the Holocaust. Or do we? In my view, we must not know about it since the media continues to attribute some parts of the Holocaust against the people and, the country of Poland. A people, and a nation, who deserve as much respect as any other on this earth, as an example of fighting for freedom while faced with the greatest odds against them. What has happened to our society where we refuse to acknowledge truth and facts and, instead decide to listen to our favorite TV personality no matter what they say? Why does the media refuse to make corrections to stories they report when they are shown to be factually incorrect? Is someone pulling strings? Is there and agenda? There must be. Have you ever heard of the Polish Underground or the heroes who were members of that movement and unit? Have you ever heard of the Warsaw uprising? Do you know that Hitler ordered the German Army to annihilate the people of Poland off the face of the earth and the only reason why that failed was due the fight waged by the people, not any army, but the people of Poland? A battle the people of Poland waged alone. Betrayed by the allies to Stalin and Communism one side and fighting against German tanks on the other. In 2015 it is Poland that remains. Three million Polish Jews were killed by Germany. THREE MILLION POLISH CATHOLICS WERE ALSO KILLED. It was in GERMAN OCCUPIED POLAND that this happened. This morning we discuss this very important issue with Stefan Komar. The son of Orlicz, the decorated member of the Polish Underground. A man who saved many lives including Jews. So grab a cup of coffee and join us.
On today's show Rosemary and I will be talking about how to get out of your own way when talking to the Angels, as well as, live readings. How many times do we ask the Universe for something and then as things start to show up we discount them. Maybe we don't like the way they are showing up or maybe we just don't see them for the miracles and answers that they are. Getting out of our own way means to step aside from our ego and how we think things "should" go and step into a place of allowing without judgment or expectations instead. How many gifts are we letting slip by us? How many times have we passed by an Angel, unaware of the miracle waiting for us, because we were simply too busy or occupied by our emotions to see them? Let's start clearing out all the crap that has been holding us hostage...fear, shame, guilt...the list could go on and on. There's no time like now to begin!
