in Self Help
Join us as Rose-Anne Partridge shares about the importance and the how-tos of self-care for parents of children with special needs.
As a mother of a 15-year-old with special needs, Rose-Anne understood that she didn't have all the answers.
One of the biggest problems facing families who have children with special needs is self-care. Who is taking care of the caregiver? We tend to put all our energy and efforts into helping our children, and in the long run, we find ourselves exhausted and burned out.
Rose-Anne believes those answers need to come from the individual and from the families and our communities. And she believes that as families who have children with special needs, we need to come together to help each other reach those goals and create those innovative ideas.
Let’s come together and continue to have HOPE!

Insulin Potentiation Therapy is an alternative medical procedure used to treat cancer and other chronic degenerative diseases. Developed and researched for over 80 years, IPT works on curing the body without damaging the body’s natural defenses. Unlike traditional chemotherapy, it does not leave the body in a weakened condition, defenseless and unable to undergo the deep healing process necessary for complete recovery.
It started with the first Garcia, Donato Perez, Sr. a medical doctor and not in the best of health. He suffered from anemia and malnutrition for a number of years, ignoring his own health to care for the many medical needs of his patients. Until his condition affected his profession when he became sluggish and started losing weight due to loss of appetite and severe gastrointestinal problems. He began to use IPT and within weeks was feeling better and regained his strength. He began to explore how IPT could treat other chronic conditions and most importantly, how it could be used as a treatment for Cancer.
We have the distinct pleasure of interviewing Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, Jr. a third generation medical doctor who specializes in IPT. This treatment was invented by his grandfather and then developed by his Father. He has applied over 26,000 treatments to patients worldwide over a span of 25 years.
A defining moment for the POTUS and a dose of potent hope for every listener.
This week, Najja Brown will share her family's personal alzheimer's journey. Najja and her four sisters have been navigating their mother's care for the last ten years. Some of the descriptors Najja has used are: challenging, emotional, hope, and light. In fact, she's even likened some past moments to a "black tunnel." Yet, she readily adds that light, hope, and even joy can and does surface. I am convinced that Najja's experience will bring some, if not all who tune in to Monday's podcast a renewed vision for hope and light.
Najja, a native of Seattle, Washington attended the University of Washington and City University. Najja holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Public Administration. As a single mother she reared two sons, who are now adults, and has two grandsons ages six and eight. She also teaches adult women's Bible study and mentors women of all ages. A true believer and participant in service to her community and volunteerism, Najja is fluent in American Sign Language and very active in the Deaf community.
