You’ve waited all of your life for this moment to arrive: you are an adult. You can do what you want to do when you want to do it and how you want to do it. You build your career, your life, your world. You take credit for your successes, victories, and strengths. Yet when it comes to the other side of who you are, someone else is to blame. “Mommy did this…” or “Daddy wasn’t there…” Aside from actual abusive treatment, which requires the attention of a medical professional, what are you doing to fix what Mommy and Daddy did or did not do during your early childhood development? “When you become conscious, you become responsible” – so, now that you are aware that you are flawed, what are YOU doing to correct those imperfections? Join in the discussion on Monday at 8pm PST and share your technique for re-nurturing yourself so that others may stop passing the buck and start owning up to their own self-management.
True spiritual wellness is not about denying the body or ignoring other parts of your life. Spiritual wellness involves nurturing yourself on all levels of being. That includes taking care of your physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Paying your bills on time, having a healthy sex life, and giving back to the world are also part of living a balanced, meaningful life! You make choices about where you live, where you work, who you live with, what you eat, whether or not you eXercise, how much you sleep, etc. All these choices affect whether you are moving toward or away from wellness. You also make many choices about whether or not you invest in yourself spiritually. "Wholistic" wellness involves knowing who you really are and living a balanced life that is meaningful to you. On an energy level, spiritual wellness involves being present in your body and creating balance and flow through your personal energy system (aura, energy channels and chakras). Doing things like learning to pray, meditate, receiving spiritual healing and counseling are spiritual investments in yourself. These practices support you in knowing who you are and what you need to do in order to create balance and flow in your life. With spiritual wellness--like many things in life--you get out what you put in. If you spend all your time making money and put no energy into spirituality, you might get rich, but you will probably end up spiritually poor. If you spend all your time making your family happy and put no energy into your personal well-being, you might meet your family's needs, but at the eXpense of your own spiritual health. It is necessary to make a commitment to healing yourself in order to create spiritual wellness and balance in your life throughout your lifetime
Joy is very honored to have tonight's very special guest Scarlett Lewis.
December 14, 2012, Scarlett Lewis experienced something that no parent ever should: she lost her son Jesse in an act of unimaginable violence. The day started just like any other, but when a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Scarlett’s life changed forever. But this isn’t a story about a massacre. It’s a story about love and survival. It’s about how to face the impossible, how to find courage when you think you have none, and how to choose love instead of anger, fear, or hatred.
Following Jesse’s death, Scarlett went on an unexpected journey, inspired by a simple three-word message he had scrawled on a chalkboard in their home: nurturing healing love. It was as if he knew just what his family would need to go on after this terrible event. Bolstered by his note, Scarlett took her first step toward a new life. And with each step, it became more clear how true Jesse’s message was. She learned that love was indeed the essential element necessary to move forward and that taking the path of love is a choice. You can live in anger and resentment, or you can choose love and forgiveness.
With her decision made, she found some peace and began to believe that choosing love was the key to creating a healthy, safe, and happy world. And so she began the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation to create a curriculum to teach children about the power each of us has to change our thoughts and choose a life without fear and hate.
Nurturing Healing Love is Scarlett’s story of how choosing love is changing her life—and how it could change our world.

For that knowing Sonia was grateful to have received such a profound energetic sensation from the Holy Spirit and never doubted again the power within herself and this Universe. Suzanne Maresca and Linda Dillon welcome Universal Mother Mary to the show this week to talk about the meaning of Love and how to nurture ourselves. Perhaps we'll get an update on the state of Love on Earth now. Our perceptions create our reality and when we choose to be love ourselves, that is what presents itself to us in the world around us.
We'll be opening the phone lines to our listeners for questions on nurturing the self.
