Is there a robot in your future? More importantly, what is the ultimate effect on society going to be once robots start taking over much of what has until now made humans unique? Until recently, robots have for the most part been relegated to factories. But that is about to change. A number of firms are making robots that many of us will soon be working alonside. More importantly, as these droids become more autonomous, will they slowly but surely push their human counterparts out of the picture altogether? Will their growing intelligence become a threat to the human species itself, as a number of scientists believe? Will human beings embrace these automated assistants as a boon, or will people begin to rage against the very machines meant to do their bidding. Join us for this episode of Working the Web to Win as we take a look at the rise of the robots.

Special Moments is owned and operated by Denise Forbes-McCormick, a professionally trained event planner. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Promotion, she has been exposed to many wonderful and gratifying opportunities. Denise hosted a radio talk show discovering new talent and continued airwave work with V-103, a local Baltimore station where she assisted with their annual "For Sister's Only" event. Denise has also lent her talents to an event company where she worked with the "Associated Black Charities" organization on their annual "NBA All Star Event" in Maryland. Denise's passion for charity work also led her to work with the Baltimore Ravens National Football Team to raise money for inner city youth.
Denise has received intensive training under her apprenticeship with Linnyette Richardson-Hall who is currently featured on the Style Network, "Whose Wedding IS It Anyway? " She is featured on some of her episodes as one of her valued assistants.
Under this apprenticeship, Ms. Richardson-Hall took her under her wing and has given Denise intense 'hands on training' in presenting fabulous events. The passion for orchestrating wedding affairs has led her to start her own company "Special Moments" in 2007.
Through her ardent studying for several years, she has learned the ins and outs of designing weddings from very small scale happenings to very large scale events, from one of the premiere consultants in the industry.
As a primary consultant and event designer, she will coordinate and supervise each event to make sure every detail is in place so that on your special day you can relax and have peace at mind within your Special Moment.

The Speak Up! Pledge initiative is straightforward and simple. The Pledge is a call to action because speaking up is the #1 challenge in the workplace — especially for women, but this applies to men, too. Moreover, women too often remain silent about important issues that affect them, choosing instead to rely on hope that problems will resolve themselves. They will not. The workplace of 2015 is demanding and complicated for both assistants and managers, and it is only getting more so. Electronic communication is great, but it does not take the place of talking with one another. Having conversations is the only way to positively navigate the issues of our 24/7 work life.
