Darby has been an advocate for the homeless mentally ill for more than twenty years. He has a B.A. in psychology from Emory University. He is a former employee of Georgia Regional Hospital, Boston State Hospital, and New Hampshire's Hanover-Darthmouth Hospital. In 1994, he co-founded Atlanta Food Not Bombs. Lynn Eagle Feather is an elder in the Lakota Nation. She discusses homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, its causes and effects among Native Americans and others. Eagle Feather has been a human rights advocate for over 10 years.
Today's episode will center on injustices such as wrongful deaths by police, the Tazing of an 8-year-old Native girl by South Dakota police, and issues that YOU bring to the table. Call in and have your say.
Darby and Eagle Feather explain that people with serious mental illness and addictions are deliberately rendered homeless in the United States of America and deprived of psychiatric and medical health care services. This is unacceptable. Voters should petition elected officials to improve treatment and subsistence opportunities for mentally ill people and those with substance abuse issues. We talk about rights as if there was a standard in the way we define the term. I'd like to respond on the program to a comment made by Thom Hartman, RT TV, when he said that the internet has become so integrated in our lives it is becoming a "right". I heard this before regarding natural resources, et al. Let's get a handle on the subject of "rights" to determine if Thom has a point. Listen in and call in now also toll-free 888-773-4496. Look forward to hearing from you.

The peaceful protestors in Ferguson were unarmed, yet teargased and shot with rubber bullets.
On the contrary, the armed protestors at the Bundy Ranch antagonized police & were not assaulted by police.
Ferguson has been under a police state long before Mike Brown just as other cities.
The people want answers…The child killer is still free.... the people are getting organized

When faced with danger like the threat of IRS audits, being disappeared via NDAA or being arrested on trumped up charges like the Michigan Militia was, it is easy for people to become quiet and turn away, hoping that in their silence the govt will leave them alone. Good people think that if they are just better citizens, the tyrant will pass him or her by...this has never worked throughout the history of man. The Jews were almost destroyed by Hitler, the Christians in Muslim countries are being tortured and killed for their faith and people in this country and being labeled "racist" or "Islamophobe" for speaking out about liberty and silence is creeping over the land. This is not time to be silent, it is time to get loud, be proud and say it out loud, "I was born free, I will die free or trying to be free, no man, no govt will take my rights and liberty from me".
Join me for thirty minutes of inspiration and ideas on striking back at the tyrants. Piss be upon them.

We have a history of protests in the summer in America. History is our measurement for change. Has things changed in america? Racism is alive and well and being militarized!
"If we do not know history it is as if we were born yesterday"
How the movement for civil rights has changed from sit-ins to the fire this time. How the waterhouses and policed dogs of the 60's has been repalaced by rubber bullets and flash grenades. Cointelpro is alive and well in Ferguson, Missouri with Agent Provocatuers on hand.
"COINTELPRO" was the FBI's secret program to undermine the popular upsurge which swept the country during the 1960s. Though the name stands for "Counterintelligence Program," the targets were not enemy spies. The FBI set out to eliminate "radical" political opposition inside the US. When traditional modes of repression (exposure, blatant harassment, and prosecution for political crimes) failed to counter the growing insurgency, and even helped to fuel it, the Bureau took the law into its own hands and secretly used fraud and force to sabotage constitutionally- protected political activity. Its methods ranged far beyond surveillance, and amounted to a domestic version of the covert action for which the CIA has become infamous throughout the world.

Isn't it ironic that the lame stream media, public officials, and other pundits promote peace in Ferguson as a response to the riots yet we continue to drop bombs in the middle east. War is not the answer or is it...
America has a violent past, a violent present, and a may I dare say a violent future. Tonight we discuss the differences and similarities between the Cliven Bundy case and the Ferguson case. Two isolated incidents with common threads and an underlining theme that cannot be denied.
Since the days of Martin Luther King the phrase, "Turn the other cheek" has been a prominent theme line in the black community. Although marching, protesting, and boycotting were cornerstones to the civil rights movement many question whether these tactics are outdated. On the flip-side how productive and effective is rioting.
In other news we will address how The CDC and the powers that be have been deliberately waging war against the black youth of America. A top research scientist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) played a key role in helping Dr. Brian Hooker of the Focus Autism Foundation uncover data manipulation by the CDC that obscured a higher incident of autism in Black Boys.
