It’s that time of year again- cold and flu season. People are lining up for their flu shots, trusting in vaccines to prevent them from getting sick. Thousands of people visit their doctor’s office or outpatient clinic, missing time from work and school. Still more will walk the isles of the local pharmacy like semi-conscious zombies, seeking symptom relief through over-the-counter (OTC) pills, nasal sprays, syrups, cough drops, and anything with the word “MENTHOL” blasted all over it.

    Consider, however, that:

Most of the OTC cold and flu medications don’t actually provide relief.

OTC cold and flu medications can damage the liver.

Antibiotics, often prescribed inappropriately, do nothing for a viral infection.

The “flu shot” is based on guesswork as to which flu strain may be the predominant strain, and that guess has been wrong multiple times.

The “flu shot” does nothing to help the common cold.

    The Illusion of Allergies

    in Health

Go ahead and get your blood work done, talk to your nutritionist, get some skin patch testing, take another dose of nasal steroids.  Or, hold up... maybe you should step back from the certainty that you have "allergies".  I'm a seasoned expert in allergic responses.  My Po reacted for years to "environments" that were incongruent with my heart's needs.  Emotions are paramount to natural integration with your life.  Your body is THE measure of health.  When something outside of you is out of sync, then your body in turn is out of sync.  Allergies are representative of alignment issues.  At the physiological level, the cycle of stress and hormonal depletion is the chronic condition of incongruency.  Join this discussion for some simple advice and methods to accessing true presence in the observation of your reactions.

    f!lly Racing Radio

    in Sports

Facebook drives me nuts:  it's the moist, hot petri dish in which grows all sorts of hysteria.  I've never witnessed so many weeping, whining, hysterical people as on FB--have you?  How much does social media feed a story, and make it bigger than it should be?

Case in point:  All the hysterical people on Facebook now can concentrate on bigger issues than whether a horse wears a nasal strip on June 7th.  I suspect that the Chromies--as I'm designating those who are rabid to see a Triple Crown achieved,  OR who believe that California Chrome is destined to do it--somehow EXPECT that, since he's got the chance, he WILL win.

But it's called a "horse race," folks.  No sure things here.  Can he do the distance? On Big Sandy?  Might those other horses have some talent, as well?  We'll talk about a lot tonight, so I hope you tune into f!llly Racing Radio.  :)

    Demetrius P. Guyton

    in Women

Guyton still carries the physical scars from the day that his biological mother tried to kill him at the Walker Regional Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama, the same hospital in which he was born to collect a $25,000 insurance policy when he was only two months old. However, he said an encounter with Christ while in prison has healed his emotional wounds.
His mother poisoned him with hydrochloric acid and castor oil in his bottle of milk. The acid burned the left side of his face and shoulder. His nose also collapsed leaving him with no choice but to breathe exclusively through his mouth, because he had no nasal passages

He is now the author of the book, The Chosen One: A Touch From Above, which is his autobiography of his life. Guyton’s book is available online @ createspace.com/4271135.
After years of allowing his mother’s choice to negatively impact his life, he now accept it as God’s will and is traveling the world encouraging others. You can view his story on youtube under (Demetrius P. Guyton).
