  • MMA JAM SESSION: THE NEXT EPISODE

    in MMA

Im just gonna be honest with you, radio land. I forgot what episode of JAM SESSION this is, so this is the next episode. Im quite terrible at remembering things. That doesnt mean this episode of JAM SESSION isnt going to be something amazing, as is every show in my opinion. By the way, im Cole Vick, your host and comedy expert (novice).

Doctor Howard Fidler has decided to join this lovely show yet again. And when Fiddy is in the building, things get extremely technical

Our first guest is Meagan Good-win. You have to be clueless not to know this lovely athlete who is fast becoming one of the greatest prospects in and out of the cage for her fighting style, her tenacity and a million other things, let this first interview give you a little more insight into this phenomenal athlete.

In our second segment, i will be adequately naming "Fiddys Time" we will be featuring another heavy hitter that you may not have heard of yet. her name is Mad Mad Madison, and her record precedes her.  Dr. Fidler has an affinity for nurturing athletes and this segment will be nothing short of amazing, a tear may be shed, maybe even a laugh or two.

Our final guest is a woman who really touches my heart, which i can say about any woman who gets in the cage, but Jessica Phillipus REALLY touches mine. She is a woman who can take your soul, and sing to your heart before you even step on the scale with her. I am very proud to bring Ms. Phillipus to JAM SESSION as the final guest, because this is going to be something like the matrix, so take a pill and let the three of us take you to a wonderland.

There will be lots of other topics discussed, time permitting. There will also be minimal committment. I aim for not going over the hour limit, but with the three women who we have, as well as the many things going on in the world of MMA, we may surpass that. This is JAM SESSION!!

    Life Lessons interviews Santa Claus.....

    in Lifestyle

My guest today has a long, white beard, wears a red suit, says "ho-ho-ho" a lot, and is particularly busy this time of year.  His name is Sal Lizard, and he has been playing Santa Claus professionally for nearly 25 years!  He started out in the early 90s as a novice, knowing nothing about how to play jolly old Saint Nick, and he soon discovered it wasn't as simple as he thought!  But over the years, Santa Sal has perfected his craft and is now one of the most beloved and believable Santas you'll ever meet.

Along with co-author Jonathan Lane, Sal Lizard wrote a book full of heartwarming true stories from his decades of being Santa Claus. And, in fact, that's what the book is called: "Being Santa Claus - What I Learned About the True Meaning of Christmas."
. Do you think that you were always destined to play Santa Claus?

So how did the book "Being Santa Claus" come about?  Did you just sit down one day and decide to write your memoirs?

What are some of the most challenging questions that children ask you, and how do you answer them?

One of the things you tell parents and children is that Santa Claus never promises.

What are some of the funniest things that children have said to you over the years?

Once again, the book is called "Being Santa Claus" and it's available from Amazon.com and other online retailers in hardcover, paperback, and eBook editions.  There's also a website: BeingSantaClaus.com and a Facebook page at facebook.com/BeingSantaClaus.  Right now, the Facebook page features daily Santa Facts, one per day.

    Inexperience: A Requirement of Sincerity

    in Spirituality

When inexperience seeks wisdom there is a requirement of sincerity. Life does not respond to the simple, incessant, repetitive, annoying ego and its false urgency. One needs to be properly aligned with life in an authentic way for life to nourish growth. If the image for difficulty is a plant struggling within the earth then, inexperience represents the small and undeveloped sprouts that appear on the surface. This is the image for spiritual inexperience. Growth not only depends upon the teacher’s response to the seeker-it requires a sincere thought out question. The combination of a good teacher and a sincere deep question is important for enlightenment. Tune in this week as Nancy and I discuss the ‘correct orientation’ of the seeker and the challenge we have as coaches to develop it. It is this emotional spring that moves and gradually advances the student.

    in Writing

Chris Henry, a novice author based in Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the new kids on the block who is bringing fresh perspectives about everyday life to the written page.

His debut novel, Out of Work, homes in on the humor in real-life, on-the-job circumstances. This novel was born out of his belief that he can find “the funny” in almost any situation.

In Out of Work, Chris introduces megalomaniacal bosses, crazy co-workers, itty bitty paychecks, and much more. He explores unexpected family dynamics, like unstable relatives and finances. In all that, he somehow manages to find the laughter.
