    2015 College Football Preview: ACC

    in Football

Matt Chatham and Brady Quinn continue their college football preview series of Power 5 conferences by headiing out to the ACC.  Florida State has owned the conference in recent years, with most discussions centering on whether or not the strength of the conference was enough to keep FSU on top while staying undefeated.

The guys start by discussing this year's big Boston College vs Notre Dame game to be played November 21st at Fenway Park, and how cool games in historic venues can positiviely affect players and recruiting.

2015 figures to be a much more competitive affair at the top of the conference as question marks abound - specifically from a collection of close-but-not-quite-there programs like Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Virginia Tech looking to climb to the top of the heap as Florida State reloads.  The guys get into the keys to winning the conference, some sleeper schools to keep an eye on, and a discussion of the year ahead for some of the conference's best players.

    Enjoy!

  • The Charlie Checkers Show Story on Mark Twain

    in History

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910),better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American author and humorist. He wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), the latter often called "The Great American Novel."

Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, which provided the setting for Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. After an apprenticeship with a printer, he worked as a typesetter and contributed articles to the newspaper of his older brother, Orion Clemens. He later became a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River before heading west to join Orion in Nevada. He referred humorously to his singular lack of success at mining, turning to journalism for the Virginia City Territorial Enterprise. In 1865, his humorous story, "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County", was published, based on a story he heard at Angels Hotel in Angels Camp, California, where he had spent some time as a miner. The short story brought international attention, and translated into classic Greek. His wit and satire, in prose and in speech, earned praise from critics and peers, and he was a friend to presidents, artists, industrialists, and European royalty.

Eazy-E Talks About His Beef With Dr. Dre & Suge Knight

    Eazy-E Last Interview  #STRAIGHTOUTTACOMPTON

Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1963 – March 26, 1995), better known by his stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper who performed solo and in the hip hop group N.W.A. Wright is affectionately called "The Godfather of Gangsta rap". He was born to Richard and Kathie Wright in Compton, California. After dropping out of high school in the tenth grade, he supported himself primarily by selling drugs before investing in Ruthless Records and becoming a rapper. When Ruthless artist Ice Cube wrote "Boyz-n-the-Hood", Dr. Dre, Cube, and Eazy formed N.W.A. After DJ Yella, MC Ren, and Arabian Prince joined the group, N.W.A released N.W.A. and the Posse. In 1988, they released their most controversial album, Straight Outta Compton. The group released two more albums and then disbanded after Eazy released Dr. Dre from his contract.

Eazy's main influences included 1970s funk groups, contemporary rappers, and comedians. When reviewing Eazy's albums, many critics noted his unique overall style, with Steve Huey of the All Music Guide remarking: "While his technical skills as a rapper were never the greatest, his distinctive delivery...over-the-top lyrics, and undeniable charisma made him a star."

    NAKE AND UNASHAMED

    in Lifestyle

Romella Vaughn was born on November 9, 1972, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was born and raised.  She now resides in Dallas, TX. She is the happy wife of Jude Vaughn and loving mother of their two children.  She loves all things fashion and has worked for the government for over 17 years. Her mother struggled with alcohol and drug addiction, so she and her siblings was forced to move in with their ill dad.  Life was nothing normal for Vaughn. She was forced to take on adult responsibilities at the age of 10. Throughout her years of life, she wanted to give up and often wished she was dead. In the year of 2014, Vaughn’s life made a complete 360-degree turn. Vaughn decided to ask God what was her purpose. God instructed her to write a book titled, “Naked,” which was the first step to her healing process.  “Naked” shares her personal hurts, frustrations, disappointments, bitterness, setbacks, living with unforgiveness in her heart, breaking patterns and how her relationship with Christ saved her life.  It explains how forgiving others is the first step to a clean heart, clean mind, a happier life, and most of all a complete love of Christ. Vaughn promised to claim and live a better life for herself, her family, and most importantly for God.  Becoming naked before God and continuing her journey to fulfill her purpose, she expose the true essence of the beauty of how to live past hurt and worries. Today she continues to walk in purpose by uplifting, encouraging others, and trusting God’s plan for her life.
