Host Kathy Sipple speaks with Nicole Barker, Executive Director, and Nathan Pavlovic, Land and Advocacy Specialist at Save the Dunes about the oil pipeline company Enbridge Energy and their plans to construct approximately 60 miles of new pipeline for the transportation of tar sands through Northwest Indiana. The construction will involve excavating approximately 30 rivers and streams in the Lake Michigan Watershed and impacting wetlands along over 4 miles of the pipeline’s length.

Host Kathy Sipple speaks with Rich Ferlazzo from the Valparaiso Shrimp Company, a wholesale and retail supplier of high quality fresh salt water shrimp. Kathy met Rich a few weeks ago at Sawgrass Marketplace in Chesterton where he makes his shrimp available for sale.
Their facility is one of 9 privately owned indoor re-circulation salt water systems in the United Sates and the only operational clear water system. The shrimp are raised on a high protein diet with no hormones, chemicals or antibiotics.

In this day and age, in the greatest nation on earth the fact we have to sit here and discuss this issue is INSANITY to us. Indiana's Govenor has passed a piece of legislation so crazy that the whole internet is buzzing about it and kids...so are we. As majority members of what was once a counter culture we owe it to our brothers and sisters to understand this new law and help decide if it is something we as comsumers can live with? Many major corporations are saying no...what about you.

We are also going to speak about the new practice of early release and what does the word "early" really mean plus a shit load of other stuff....so you know what to do.
