North Florida Writer Live "Short Take 2": Imagine...........

    in Lifestyle

TONIGHT'S SHORT TAKE WILL BE DEVOTED TO FATHERS AND SONS.  IN TODAY'S CRAZY WORLD, IT'S EASY FOR DAD TO GET WRAPPED UP IN WORK AND THEIR OWN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES WITH THE RESULT BEING A YOUNG BOY FEELING LEFT OUT.  HAVING LOST MY DAD AT AN EARLY AGE, I KNOW VERY WELL WHAT NOT HAVING A FATHER CAN FEEL LIKE ALTHOUGH I WAS VERY BLESSED TO HAVE A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER.  SO LET'S IMAGINE FOR A FEW MOMENTS..........IMAGINE HOW MUCH BETTER LIFE CAN BE FOR BOTH FATHERS AND SONS WHEN THEY SHARE LIFE TOGETHER.  AND IMAGINE WHAT THOSE WHO DON'T ARE FEELING.

AMERICA HAS FAR TOO MANY FAMILIES WITHOUT A FATHER, NOT THROUGH DEATH OR DISASTER, BUT THROUGH SELFISHNESS AND LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY.  IMAGINE IF WE CAN CHANGE THAT: IMAGINE WHAT A BETTER PLACE IT CAN BE.

    SEE YOU TONIGHT AT NINE.

Dawn Baumann Bunke and Dreaming With Polar Bears

    in Spirituality

    *THIS WAS PRE-RECORDED FROM APRIL 13, 2015

Dreams speak to us on deep levels. Through dreaming we open a gateway to a sacred inner world. Through lucid dreaming we open to conscious interaction with the surroundings, happenings, and living beings within the dreamscape. Over many years, animal communicator Dawn Baumann Brunke dreamed of polar bears. She visited the Polar Bear council and they told her many things about their lives in the Arctic, about humans, Mother Earth and where we are headed. Her latest book is Dreaming With Polar Bears, Spirit Journeys With Animal Guides. Guided by the polar bears in her dreams--the sacred guardians of the North Pole, evolutionary energy, Dawn reveals how we can each dream ourselves awake and, with animal compansions and guides, help dream a new world into being.

Dawn is a writer, animal communicator, and editor who specializes in the areas of healing, dreaming, anemal teachings, and deepening our connection with all life. She has written six books and she lives in Alaska with her husband, daughter and animal friends.

Some of the famous robberies that will be covered include: The famous Bonnie and Clyde, 1998 Bank of America robbery inside the World Trade Center, 1997 Loomis Fargo Robbery in North Carolina, North Hollywood shootout, 1997, deadly shootout between local law enforcement and two bank robbers, and more!!!!

The Green Scene - Maidenhair Ferns

    in Education

On Friday, May 22 at 8:00 pm eastern, 7:00 pm central and 5:00 pm Pacific on the Green Scene Hour,a discussion on Maidenhair Ferns. Join Ken McKeighen and Ken Boorman as they discuss the natural history and care and keeping of these beautiful and graceful ferns. Amazing plants that are a Native plant of North America. Maidenhair fern history is quite interesting. Its genus name translates to “non wetting” and refers to the fronds’ ability to shed rainwater without becoming wet. In addition, the plant is the source of an aromatic, volatile oil commonly used as a shampoo, which is where its common name of maidenhair derived.
