Plus Size Barbie... Is Body Augmentations the New Norm

    in Lifestyle

Plus Size Barbie... Is Body Augmentations the New Norm? In this ever growing vain world, where no one is competing to be the smartest girl in room, thats a thing of the past.  The new norm is who is the BADDEST Chick in the room. Hair, makeup, lastest trends and BOOTY or Bootylicious as it has been coined.  Everybody is looking to get that second glance. Natural curves vs Enhanced curves.

The bottom line is what makes you feel like a million dollars. Are women wrong for getting their looks and bodies altered? Is there really a difference between hair weaves and breast implants? They are both used to enhance beauty. Is body augmentation worth the coins used? Why is it that women tend to shy away from telling the truth about work they have had done or monies spent on altering their bodies. These are some of the questions we will explore on Curves In 3D.

Tune in Thursday November 06, 2014 @9pm to have a Curvy Conversation with:

The Gift of Gab! Episode #63 Adjusting To Your New Norm As Life Happens

    in Lifestyle

Sometimes we get so used to the way things are in our lives, we find we live in what I refer to as autopilot. We don't think about what we do or how we do it too much. We just do it.

But, sometimes we encounter unexpected (and expected) events that force us to make adjustments. As we make those adjustments, we find we are creating and learning to live in our new normal. Listen to the show to learn more about your adjustments and priority planning during these phases of life.

The Gift of Gab is where you'll start your week off right!

Christine Pechstein is a faith-based life coach specializing in life and stress management. She loves teaching people to persevere despite the set backs and challenges life will inevitably bring, and she isn't afraid to use an honest and transparent approach in her teaching. Be sure to listen in as she challenges you to live a life well managed, leave your stresses behind, PUSH past your obtacles, overcome your fears, live with passion as you take charge of your life, and talk about a variety of other things that require transparancy, guts, and of course, the gift of gab!

She is the founder of Move Into Action, and is a Life and Stress Management Coach, Author, Speaker, Preacher, and body builder with a passion for building up the body of Christ.

The Parker J Cole Show -- Sometimes God Shouts Freedom in Divorce

    in Radio

    ***REBROADCAST***

Divorce is rampant among society today. In fact, more than 50% of marriages end in divorce. Within its wake, divorce affects all member of the family unit from husband, wife, in-laws, and children. However, this is the norm. Statistically speaking, most marriages end from the two to seven year mark. The days of marriages lasting for more than that seem to be gone.

For the Christian man or woman, divorce is something that God hates. No if, ands, or buts about it. The Bible is very clear on this issue. In fact, Jesus condemned those who divorced their wives because marriage is for a lifetime. When we say our vows, we tend to say, "For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health...till death do we part." We stand in front of the preacher and made this vow before God and our loved ones (or witnesses for those of us who eloped) and truly and sincerely make this pledge.

But what happens when the relationship falls into the worse category? What if circumstances have us re-thinking if this person who I have pledged myself to is the person I was to marry? When the situation gets dangerous or critical, one begins to wonder...if God hates divorce, then what does that mean for my happiness? The vows we make began to shake. The idea of a long, lasting marriage grows dimmer by the day or the year. Divorce looms, not like an avenging dark angel...but like a beacon of light.

If God hates divorce, and we know He does, how can we say God shouts freedom in divorce?

Join me as I talk about this issue with author Olga Bryant as we discuss this very issue. You can call in at 646-595-2083, press 1 to be live on air. Or you can download the WLUV radio mobile app today. Any way you can, join us.
