On this Episode of When the City Sleeps #NocturnalInk I will have the pleasure of sharing the mic with a most talented brutha, Preech the Profit!!
Born in Pensacola, Florida, now residing in Atlanta, GA, Preech The Profit or Preech for short, first introduced himself as a Spoken Word Artist in his hometown of Pensacola in the year 2011. The Preech part of “Preech The Profit” came after he had taken the time to analyze his performance methods & noticed that he almost sounded like a preacher reciting a speech. “The Profit” came from his desire to give back to communities & be a “profit to society” in addition to a pun with the word “Prophet” as a result of his tendencies to philosophize his own perspectives & idealistic nature. Spoken Word artist, Hip-Hop Artist, & entrepreneur, Preech The Profit, first gained an interest in words in elementary school when he would read the dictionary as if it were a book. As his knowledge for the meanings and sounds of words grew, he later reached a stage in middle school where he found the creativity in word play to be very interesting.
This new found interest led him to the exploration of his abilities to arrange words in ways that fit together as if they were a finished puzzle. During this time, he continued to write lyrics without a purpose other than to explore his imagination. Preech began to take on poetry as a way of life after working on the verses for a song & feeling as if the lyrics needed no instrumental to be appealing, because the lyrics alone carried the fluent tune of a professional song. It was at this time that he really began to notice just how talented of a writer he was. This realization brought him to an interest of exploring his talents in spoken word. He began to make YouTube videos & advertise them on social networking sites. This led to him being offered the opportunity to perform at a fashion show. Ever since then, Preech has performed & featured at over 50 different venues and locations.
The non-performing loan market has swelled in the past few years. Several billion are sold every quarter just from the GSEs and HUD. However, the secondary market has become very competitive and buyers need unique strategies and partnerships to acquire notes at more competitive price. Aligning with a non-profit can be beneficial to both the investor and the non-profit. Many loans are sold from HUD with specific outcome requirements that create a unique secondary market for the right partnership.
Joining the podcast is Tim Hayes with Southside Community Development. Tim works to partner investors and non-profits together in order to become qualified buyers NS Capitals non-performing loan and REO portfolio.

On this episode of NTR: Non-Tree Radio, host Courtney Lambert talks with featured guest Amy Perrin about making career MOVEs and their experiences in this area. Career moves are not easy. Some people stay at jobs they hate because they have financial responsibilities, some people stay because they are afraid of change, and others stay because they don't feel they are qualified to do what they truly want to do. Courtney and Amy talk with listeners about their decisions to make moves in their careers and how they executed their plans. Afterwards, Courtney and Michelle continue the conversation with key points and suggestions. If you are looking for that extra push of encouragement to go after your dreams, don't miss this show!

TWO GROUPS OF ADVENTISTS AT FIRST ONLY A FEW WERE IDENTIFIED WITH THIS GROUP WHO WERE MOVING FORWARD IN ADVANCING LIGHT. BY THE YEAR 1846 THEY RECKONED THEIR NUMBERS AS ABOUT FIFTY. THE LARGER GROUP WHO TURNED FROM CONFIDENCE IN THE FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY IN 1844 NUMBERED APPROXIMATELY THIRTY THOUSAND. THEIR LEADERS CAME TOGETHER IN 1845 IN A CONFERENCE IN ALBANY, NEW YORK, APRIL Early Writings Of Ellen G. White 8 29 TO MAY 1, AT WHICH TIME THEY RESTUDIED THEIR POSITIONS. BY FORMAL ACTION THEY WENT ON RECORD AS WARNING AGAINST THOSE WHO CLAIM “SPECIAL ILLUMINATION,” THOSE WHO TEACH “JEWISH FABLES,” AND THOSE WHO ESTABLISH “NEW TESTS” (ADVENT HERALD, MAY 14, 1845). THUS THEY CLOSED THE DOOR TO LIGHT ON THE SABBATH AND THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. THEY WERE CONFIDENT THAT PROPHECY HAD NOT BEEN FULFILLED IN 1844, AND SOME SET TIME FOR THE TERMINATION OF THE 2300-DAY PERIOD IN THE FUTURE. VARIOUS TIMES WERE SET, BUT ONE AFTER ANOTHER THEY PASSED BY. THESE PEOPLE, HELD TOGETHER BY THE COHESIVE ELEMENT OF THE ADVENT HOPE, AT FIRST ALIGNED THEMSELVES IN SEVERAL RATHER LOOSELY KNIT GROUPS WITH CONSIDERABLE VARIATION IN CERTAIN DOCTRINAL POSITIONS. SOME OF THESE GROUPS SOON FADED OUT. THE GROUP THAT SURVIVED BECAME THE ADVENT CHRISTIAN CHURCH. SUCH ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS BOOK AS THE “FIRST DAY ADVENTISTS” OR “NOMINAL ADVENTISTS.” DAWN OF THE LIGHT ON
Hosted by Sade' and Knowledge
On Hotwordz Lyrical Theatre0, The ‘Classical Soul’ show with Sade’ and Knowledge will feature the sounds of Aretha Franklin & The Girl Groups of Soul in America from the 60’s era. What do you know about Martha Reeves and the Vandellas? What do you know about background singers like Lois Reeves who played a major part in the Vandellas music industry story? Another girl group as they were called, shined a little light on Edna Wright and The Blossoms. The Blossoms were one of the premium female backing vocal groups during the 60s and 70s and existed in many versions under many pseudonyms. Familiar artists that came and went include Edna Wright, Gloria Jones and Merry Clayton. Aretha Franklin stood the test of time in the young Motown music industry and today, she remains recognized as a high profile ‘Soul Singer’. HLT0 will focus a little bit on the lost girl groups of soul and the inspiration behind some of these great acts from the legend of Motown.

About Allyson Byrd
Widely known as the “Profit Accelerator™, Allyson Byrd is unapologetic. When she stepped into her purpose in 2009, the only thing predictable about her was the future she would create for Lisa Nichols' Motivating The Masses. An increase of 1080% for MTM' s event sales and back-of-the-room profits in the span of 18 months? It seems like insanity.
Fast forward 5 years, and Allyson Byrd is upleveling her clients' profitability in a way that transforms lives and the world.
With the release of the Byrd Agency, Allyson has created a company that mirrors all that she stands for as a strategist and mentor. Energy, power and mastery is charged into each business she touches, with a long-term focus and an emphasis on sustainable and almost excessive profits. We've all traveled somewhere to get to our current location, and Allyson's respect & appreciation for that drives her to transform the lives of her incredible clients.
Allyson shares her vulnerable, authentic and inspirational messages across the globe. To learn more about working directly with Allyson, visit her at www.allysonbyrd.com.
The great divider- politics... Support groups have to almost walk on eggshells when bringing up politics. Those of us who follow politics are passionate about what we believe in, and when any mention is made that goes against our personal beliefs, many want to cause dissent and hatred.
But what happens when those politics affect the very core of our support groups? Do we keep quiet in an effort to keep everyone happy? Don't our supporters have the right to know when someone has chosen not to support our police?
The LESMA team and Ken Dye are going to address this today- and it needs to be done. It's time we stand up for what we believe in, even if we have to hear things that we do not want to, even if we must face realities that we hoped weren't true. We can't let these things divide us. In this situation, you rise and you face it. Because the TRUTH and JUSTICE for our police are what we are here for.
