    in Books

Join Dr. Angela Lauria of The Author Incubator as she interviews Amanda Young on the writing and publishing of her book, Finding Clarity.

Amanda had set a goal in the writing of this book. In her mind, it just had to come out in spite of her having another book in mind. The topic of the book kind of mirrored what she went through in the process of realizing it, because at the beginning, she lacked a focus and it wasn't clear who she was writing for. But after several tries, she finally got her ideas straight and everything became clear to her - from what her business really was, to who she intended to serve. "I found clarity by writing Finding Clarity!" she said, and adds that clarity is the best thing that's come out of having the book. She now has defined steps for helping people with the same problem.

    in Books

Join Dr. Angela Lauria of Book Journeys Radio as she interviews author Lyn Hicks on the writing and publishing of her book, The Lotus Project: The Art of Being a Woman.

Lyn wrote The Lotus Project because she had valuable information and was passionate in sharing that knowledge. She had great success with it and knew it was part of her purpose in teaching. The subject matter was an outcrop of her life learning, having had the privilege of having Himalayan masters and retreats at her farm that taught her incredibly transforming practices and ideas on health, beauty, magnetism, life, and the yoga of living. It's an ongoing transformative process and she admits that she is still learning about herself and her lifestyle. She knew she just had to share this new perspective shift with others.

"I saw my book as beautiful and being everywhere. I saw myself talking in large groups of people sharing my book and was proud of the prettiness and the information within," she said.

Debut author Dave Pupa on writing and publishing LIVE on Authors on the Air

    in Books

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes debut novelist Dave Pupa to the studio.  Dave's debut novel is a psychological thriller (imagine Hannibal meets Seven). His background as a therapist has allowed him to create compelling and fully fleshed out characters with substance. A sequel is currently in the works. This may be the beginning of a series character around  FBI profiler Frank Sorello.  About the highly rated book:  Hurricane Sandy ravages the Jersey Shore while simultaneously providing the backdrop for a horrible crime. A serial killer takes advantage of the night’s ferocity and inflicts his own damage. The madman then disappears leaving a famed F.B.I. agent broken in the process. Frank Sorello retires from the Bureau only to be drawn back into the game after a bestselling novel by a new author raises suspicions about details inside the book. Is the homicidal maniac announcing his return or is it purely a coincidence? The intrigue builds as a young man with an intellect rivaling that of Einstein and Da Vinci is tragically connected to the Bureau’s top agent. As the investigation is renewed, the murders begin once again. While the mystery unravels no one is truly safe; neither the gated communities of Hollywood nor the hallowed grounds of an Ivy League University provide refuge from what lies waiting in the shadows. The suspense mounts as the hunt gets ever more personal when the agent’s current romantic interest becomes a target. Sorello vows to put an end to the killer’s reign in this fast paced thriller . . . but the killer has other plans.
