Homophobia and heterosexism are still very much present in our communities. Polyamory, interracial dating/marriage and other “non-traditional” couplings often come under fire as people seek to express romantic love in ways compatible with their lifestyle and preferences. Biases manifest themselves many ways, from discrimination, harassment and physical violence against, individuals and families that include LGBT, “Poly”, Interracial, etc. Parents or relatives.

Another discussion straight out of the Parenting Chronicles...we've touched on the many severe changes in today's society that our youth are facing. Government interference, media images, reality TV shows, racism, etc. Another change in society is the liberation of non-traditional lifestyles which include polygamous, open/swinging, and same-sex marriages. Can the diversion from "traditional" relationships as we have always known them be a factor in the way our youth grow up? Are these factors cultivating more broadened acceptance of others, or more negatively affecting them,?

Prayers For Everyone: Strength, a Spiritual approach with Nicole Rivera
Prayers For Everyone: Strength is an inspiring and thought-provoking book of 10 prayers that will uplift the reader to the greatness that they already are. Strength is our birthright. It is now our time to realize it. Let it in. (Please note these prayers are not from the Bible. They are non-traditional in nature.)
Nicole states, "I have pursued many paths during my lifetime, so when it comes to defining “who” I am or “what” I do, I am at a loss for words. At this moment in time and space, I am an Author of Prayer and children’s books. What I will "be" tomorrow is unknown. In every adventure I have embarked upon, the underlying theme has always been to empower individuals to the greatness that they already are. It never matters the form in which it takes but only that it is done. My intention, with everything that I am offering here today, is to empower, uplift and enlighten you; that you may walk this earth with confidence, knowing and peace."
