    "The gripping story of a couple living with HIV" presented at D.A.P. Awards Gala

    The gripping story of a couple living with HIV combines the talents of Scott Alan, whose songs have been sung by Broadway’s elite, with the creative direction of Live It Up! Productions president Trini Garza and his co-creative director Brandon Alameda. Trini and Brandon teamed up with Scott to write a very tender story that will be told throughout the evening of the gala, teamed with the So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars directed by Mandy Moore.  She also created Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour. Mandy both directed and choreographed the movie-cum-Broadway musical, The Wedding Singer.


    Nicholas Snow (with guest co-host Kristin Johnson) is thrilled to present a seven-part comprehensive series documenting the 2015 Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards held February 9th at the Palm Springs Convention Center, raising $1.3 million for direct client services at Desert AIDS Project.     Steve and Naomi are from the paranormal group S.T.U.R.S., which stands for Seeking the Unknown Realm Society. Steve is the founder of S.T.U.R.S. and Naomi is an investigator. The group was started in October of 2010. STURS has investigated many locations throughout New England, including The Houghton Mansion in North Adams, MA, The Haunted Victorian in Gardner, MA, The Governors Inn Hampton Falls, NH, The Paine House in Coventry, MA and best known for their appearance on A&E's My Ghost Stories for their story on the investigation of The Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH. Steve and Naomi also perform together singing which includes performing live at the 2013 Paranormal Awards, which STURS was a nominee for the 2013 EVP Of The Year Award.

    The Return of Philosopher and Author Mark Kingwell

    Mark Kingwell is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto and a contributing editor of Harper’s Magazine in New York. He is the author or co-author of seventeen books of political, cultural and aesthetic theory, including the bestsellers Better Living (1998), The World We Want (2000), Concrete Reveries (2008), and Glenn Gould (2009). His articles on politics, architecture and art have appeared in many academic journals, including the Journal of Philosophy and the Harvard Design Magazine, and in more than 40 mainstream publications, among them Harper’s, the New York Times, the New York Times Magazine, the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, Utne Reader, BookForum, the Toronto Star, and Queen’s Quarterly; he is also a former columnist for Adbusters, the National Post, and the Globe and Mail.


    Mr. Kingwell has lectured extensively in Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia on philosophical subjects and had held visiting posts at Cambridge University, the University of California at Berkeley, and at the City University of New York, where he was the Weissman Distinguished Visiting Professor of Humanities in 2002. Mr. Kingwell is the recipient of the Spitz Prize in political theory, National Magazine Awards for both essays and columns, the Outstanding Teaching Award and President’s Teaching Award at the University of Toronto, a research fellowship at the Jackman Humanities Institute, and in 2000 was awarded an honorary DFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design for contributions to theory and criticism. His most recent book is a collection of political essays, Unruly Voices (2012); he has also recently published two illustrated pamphlets, Frank’s Motel (2013) and Democracy’s Gift (2014).

    William Brawner From 25 to Life Documentary

    William has recently released a documentary: “25 to Life” highlighting his diagnosis, life of stigma and discrimination. 

    William has been featured in many magazines, and received awards for his work in advocacy and service.

    William has shared the stage with Earvin “Magic” Johnson in to share his story of triumph, and presented at the Essence Music Festival. He has been the keynote speaker at educational institutions throughout the country, especially Historically Black Colleges & Universities to encourage testing and behavioral changes.

    Author Michael Brent Collings Novelist, Screenwriter, and Writing Instructor

    Michaelbrent Collings is an internationally bestselling novelist, a #1 bestseller in the U.S., and has been one of Amazon's top selling horror writers for years. He is one of the most successful indie horror writers in the United States, as well as a produced screenwriter and member of the WGA, HWA, and several other writing groups with cool-sounding letters. He's also a martial artist, and cooks awesome waffles ('cause he's macho like that).
