A terrorist. Two hostages. A desert lair in Yemen. The stage is set for a transfixing, fact-based, yet fiction novel, The Grip of Lions and Veils. Author of Behind the Veils of Yemen, missionary-author Audra Grace Shelby weaves a mesmerizing tale of danger and deception. Gleaning from her own real-life experiences as an American woman whose missionary family was called to Yemen, this reality fiction is real enough to be grippingly true, but fictional enough to be highly entertaining. With terror hurtling through the Middle East, especially Yemen, Shelby's latest book is both timely and Insightful .
When God brings us out, He brings us out. God is faithful to His children, He will never leave nor forsake us. (Heb. 13: 5) How has God brought you through tough times, or living a lifestyle that was not pleasing to Him? I know the things I've done, I had to be brought out of. I had to separate from people who was not going where God was taking me. Or better yet, God had to separate people from me. (2 Cor. 6: 17) I have no shame to express myself to others who may be in the same mess I was in: gangs, drug dealing, running the streets, waking up with women and sometimes not knowing how I got there. (2 Tim. 1: 11-12) I had to get real with God. No longer was I able to hide my shame before Him and be proud about it. I had to release my transgressions to the Lord. (Psalm 32: 5) Throughout the mess I put myself in, God covered me. Had I not done this, I would still be living in sin, or suffering in hell for the rest of my eternal life. (2 Thessalonians 1: 9) So I encourage you, my Sister, my Brother, to be on the Lord's side. Get outta that lifestyle that does not edify your spiritual life or glorify God. Get saved, get in a bible believing church that teaches the Word. No, every problem you have will not disappear, but whatever problem you have, you also have the Lord who will help see you through.

(5:35) Quick HIts - Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy gets in his hot take on the Detroit Lions losing. Also, Dan Campbell is a head coach now? Really?
(12:55) "So about last night..." - Chris, Ryan, Alex, and Jeremy all join forces this week to push past the pain and anguish of a fumble at the one yard line. There's other juicy angles from Seattle/Lions to discuss: for instance, how good can Calvin Johnson be moving forward? Is he struggling in the offense or is he on the decline?
(24:25) "Can we talk about Arizona?" - An attempt to preview the Arizona Cardinals and what seems to be an improbably awful matchup for the Detroit Lions. Chris really doesn't like the idea of Carson Palmer being good.
(36:50) Questions! - Jeremy talks about Seattle fans, and an interesting question about the future of the Green Bay Packers. Also, how can the Lions run scheme get fixed?
(53:00) Some nonsense - Audio problems forced us to cut a segment where the four watched a video of some drunk dude demanding macaroni and cheese. They talk about drunk food and other casual topics instead.
