    World history of Abolitionism

    in Politics Conservative

    When thinking about the history of slavery one tends to think about the abolitionist movement. Generally speaking when we thing about this movement we tend to think about the Quakers and          their impact in the USA and perhaps beyond and rightly so.

    While it’s true the Quakers did much toward ending slavery I content the abolitionist movement started about the time Jesus of Nazareth ascended into Heaven. Paul’s Epistle to Timothy clearly illustrates the picture of a disdain for owning a human being.  Paul explains whey we have the law;

    “the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel. (I paraphrase).

    This then becomes a clarion call to the world actually that slavery was an abomination to God. That as Christians we can not abide by a person owning another person. This of course was taken seriously by both believers and non believers alike. To the non believer who owned slaves he saw an enemy of his enterprises. To the believer they came to truly understand what Paul meant when he said;

     In speaking to the Athenians, Paul stated that God "has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26). We are all descendants of Adam. While we are divided between different nations and languages, we are all the same -- human beings created by the hand of God.

    Black Reconstruction #LaShawnAllenMuhammad 323.927.2913

    in Business

    Hosted By: LaShawn Allen-Muhammad

    Who were the first Black Elected Officials? During the month of November, as the country gears up to re-elect or vote in the next wave of politicians, Black Reconstruction will revisit the Reconstruction era to pay homage to the Black Men who came before Obama.  During this tumultuous time, Blacks not only established townships, they also positioned themselves to be an integral part of government.

    At a Glance.. In 1855, Brownhelm Township, founded by Col. Henry Brown,  gained notoriety throughout the U.S, when the township elected an African-American to government office.  The NY Syracuse Daily Journal, May 31, 1855 reported that John Mercer Langston was a fugitive slave who had been elected clerk.  Brownhelm's early residents had long been known for their strong anti-slavery stance; and Col. Henry Brown's home on the Lake Shore was often a final stop on the Underground Railroad, before reaching Canada by boat.

    African-American Firsts: Government

    Local elected official: John Mercer Langston, 1855, town clerk of Brownhelm Township, Ohio.

    State elected official: Alexander Lucius Twilight, 1836, the Vermont legislature.

    Governor (appointed): P.B.S. Pinchback served as governor of Louisiana from Dec. 9, 1872-Jan. 13, 1873, during impeachment proceedings against the elected governor.

    U.S. Representative: Joseph Rainey became a Congressman from South Carolina in 1870 and was reelected four more times.

    U.S. Senator: Hiram Revels became Senator from Mississippi from Feb. 25, 1870, to March 4, 1871, during Reconstruction.

    Can African Americans Empower Africa To Stop The Spread of Terrorism?

    in Women

    The kidnapping of Nigerian girls by Boko Haram  shocked the world but seemed to show the powerlessness of African officials to stop the spread of terrorist activities. In America the threat of a terrorist attack has been the reason for the extremes in security measures at airports and public places. But the only thing these measures seem to create is more fear and distrust among the people. What is at the root of these attacks? Is it the religion of Islam? Or is it the desperation of an impoverished, oppressed people? Our guests today discuss their global outreach efforts in Africa and reflect on the recent remarks by Min. Louis Farrakhan during his Savior's Day address about the spread of Terrorism and America's role in it.

    Secret Revealed: Most U.S. Blacks Are Native Americans

    in Politics Progressive

    Most U.S. Blacks are Native Americans, according to archelogical research and artifacts. Please call (347)857-3293 at 9pmEST to speak on air to Dr. David Imhotep about his book about this subject: "The First Americans Were Africans," available at Amazon. Read more at
    http://freespeakblog.blogspot.com/2015/02/most-us-blacks-are-native-americans.html

    An Italian explorer, Giovanni da Verrazzano, wrote a description in 1524 of the "Carolina Indians" he encountered. He wrote, "The complexion of the Carolina Indians is black, not much different from that of the Ethiopians. Their hair is black and thick, and not very long, tied back behind the head like a small tail. As for the physique of these men, they are well proportioned, of medium height, a little taller than we are. They have broad chests, strong arms, and the legs and other parts of the body are well-composed. They're broad in the face and have big black eyes. They have a sharp cunning and are agile and swift runners."
          Genesis 1:9-10 ~ And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto ONE place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
          Genetic data proves that all mankind has a single African mother. Blacks are indigenous in various continents and countries, indicating that the "dry land" was once a single unit. Plate tectonics is the theory that the outer rigid layer of the earth (the lithosphere) is divided into a couple of dozen "plates" that move around across the earth's surface relative to each other, like slabs of ice on a lake. We may therefore theorize that what is now the Americas was in ancient times western Africa. Blacks were in the Americas for centuries before the slave trade of the 1500s.
