It is our yearly free agent frenzy which we like to call Hockey Christmas. Sports With The StatMan contributor Heather Yunger will be on the show to talk about the Bruins and what they were able to do in free agency. Plus, we discuss the big free agent signings of the first two days of signings around the league. I will also, of course, break down how the draft went for the local teams and which positions need to be addressed in free agency for the locals.
In baseball, All-Star voting ends on Thursday night. We will look at the close races and give you our picks. We also break down the Red Sox-Yankees series in the Bronx. We will follow the pennant races and give our take on the big issues around baseball from the local teams and around the league.

I'll bring a lot more than the summer heat, when I'm back on the scene delivering all of what the sports world has to offer on jayreelz Final Word, Wednesday at 8pm. With one more week before the all star festivities descend on New York City, I'll take a peek at the Mets & Yankees over the past seven days and look ahead to their upcoming series before the break. I'll also get into my over/under numbers in the MLB for 2013 and check the landscape throughout the American & National Leagues before the Midsummer Classic, July 16th. I'll recap Wimbledon, as we have two new winners, including Andy Murray, becoming the first Brit to win in over 75 years by beating Novak Djokovic. I'll have all of the latest on the NBA & NHL free agency news, some NFL talk and much more, on your source for New York sports and beyond, jayreelz Final Word.
It may be July but the hockey talk is just as hot as the weather! (Sorry about that...) Anyway, Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder sort through the fallout of the start of NHL free agency and try to figure out what's going to happen next. Trades are certainly a real possibility, as broadcaster Bart Logan joins the boys to talk about the Columbus conundrum of what to do about Rick Nash. Logan, the media relations manager and play-by-play man for the USHL's Youngstown Phantoms, also digs into what Zach Parise and Ryan Suter combining forces does to the balance of power in the NHL for 2012-13. Also, University of Michigan recruit and recent top-10 NHL Draft pick Jacob Trouba allegedly rebuffed a significant offer to take his talents to the Canadian juniors; what does his commitment to college hockey mean for the future of the NCAA vs. CHL battle?
We've hit a big week in Detroit sports -- the NBA Draft takes place Thursday, giving the Pistons a chance to continue their painful rebuilding process; then, NBA and NHL free agency kicks off on Sunday, with all eyes in the local hockey world focusing on the Red Wings.
Will Ryan Suter and Zach Parise be sporting the winged wheel come September? And if those two head elsewhere, what's Plan B for a Wings team in desperate need of a makeover.
And can the Pistons find any impact players with the No. 9 pick in Thursday's draft?
We'll hit all that, plus talk about those frustrating Tigers, in this week's show.

As the first moves begin to trickle as the Giants prepare for free agency, join David Aitken and Aaron Yorke as they discuss a number of key topics for Big Blue heading into the new league year. Was franchising Jason Pierre-Paul the right move? With 2014 starters Mathias Kiwanuka and JD Walton released, are more soon to follow? Jerry Reese must also make decisions on a host of pending free agents like Antrel Rolle. New York was incredibly active last offseason in free agency but the team does not look to have the resources set to manage similar spending. With that in mind, where does Jerry Reese prioritize? How key is the draft for the Giants this season, with the team holding a top ten pick in the draft for the first time since 2004?
Good morning POW fans! On today's show, the crew and I will be discussing and analyzing the possible moves that the various teams of the NFL will be doing now that the free agency period will be starting next week. Who's the best fit and for which teams? And who are the unlucky guys who've been cut from their teams that could become difference makers on other squads? Who will be the winner and losers of this NFL offseason? Why don't you do yourself a favor... Tune in and find out!
With the franchise tags set and days to go before the start of free agency, we'll get you ready for one of the more hectic weeks on the NFL calendar. The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of cap space, but will they be able to land a big time free agent? We'll discuss that and LOTS more.
Later in the show, we'll sort through the recent spate of injuries in the NBA, take an early look at the Phillies at the start of spring training, and get you caught up on the rest of the past week in sports as only we can. So come and take a ride on The Broad Street Line: The future of sports talk radio has finally arrived.
The NFL is just days away from beginning the new league year and free agency will commence. The Arizona Cardinals have begun some of their transactions, inking Lary Fitzgerald to a new, more cap-friendly contract. They released veteran Darnell Dockett. They released Ted Ginn. In another move, James Bettcher was named defensive coordinator.
Now they have their eyes on some big time players -- reportedly Adrian Peterson and DeMarco Murray. They have pass rushing and inside linebacker needs.
Seth and Jess are here to talk about the Cardinals and their foray into free agency. Was the Fitz contract good? Will they miss Dockett? Who are they legitimately in play for? Who will stay? Who will go? Who will join?
Stay tuned to hear more and keep up the conversation at Revenge of the Birds.
With NFL free agency ready to start on March 10th the New York Jets are ready to make a splash. Now it is a matter of identifying players that will significantly upgrade the Jets roster. Should the Jets make a run at Darrelle Revis? Bring back Antonio Cromartie? Or look to younger options? What about the pass rushers like Jason Worilds or Jerry Hughes? Then at wide receiver is Randall Cobb better than Percy Harvin? Your calls at 929-477-2651..share your Jets opinions!!
