Her goal is to aid my patients in regaining and maintaining true health and wellness, while often emphasizing the importance of lifestyle in the process. Two key components of a healthy lifestyle are what goes in the body and on the body everyday. Poor quality nutrition and toxic health/beauty products can have detrimental impacts on one's health.

The annual Kidney Cancer Symposium was held this year in Miami, Florida. It was chaired by Dr. Toni Choueiri of Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Institute in Boston, and contained a wealth of information for physicians, both urologists and oncologists dealing with kidney cancer.
This year for the first time in many years more patients and patient advocates were included in the mix. In the past Joyce has been one of 4-5 patients invited to help report the meeting, under the general editorship of Mike Lawing. This year, in part to celebrate the 25th anniversary oCaleb f the founding of KCA by a kidney cancer patient, more patients were invited to attend, including two from outside the United States: Caleb from Nigeria and Juanita Ruiz from Peru.
Billy Foster, a long-time KCA supporter and jazz musician, was on hand to provide wonderful music for the reception. He has given us permission to broadcast an interview he recorded with Caleb Egwuenu, founder and president of Stand Up to Cancer Naija, http://www.su2c9ja.org In Nigeria many people still believe that cancer is "juju" or some harmful magical power inflicted by someone else, or as a result of something you did wrong. The biggest challenge to managing any cancer is that diagnoses are usually after the cancer is already advanced to a late stage. For Nigeria as for most developing countries, the management of late stage cancer is beyond the skills and budgets of the health care systems. Their only hope of managing cancer is to find it at early stages.

Prelude to Thanksgiving day...THOUGHTS TO PONDER...
Thursday, Nov 26, 2015 is Thanksgiving Day a national holiday with religious significance in the United States.
To make this Thanksgiving a little more special say GRACE BEFORE and AFTER MEALS expressing your gratitude for all the blessings in your life.
It all began with the pilgrims who came over from England in 1621...394 years ago. The pilgrims shared a feast in the fall time, probably October of that year with the Wampanoag Indians. Although this was technically the first Thanksgiving...
Turkey and pie did not occur until...etc.
A way to honor pilgrims...etc.
The first Thanksgiving...etc.
New York was the first state to...etc.
Modern day traditions...etc.
Healthcare providers in the United States are faced with one of our nation’s greatest challenges. Despite spending twice as much as other industrialized countries, our outcomes remain average and our healthcare delivery system more often provides “ill care” as opposed to “health care”.
Conceived and developed a healthcare model to provide primary care by nurse practitioners with a focus on prevention. This model will be replicated in retail settings throughout the state of New York. The purpose of these centers is to improve patient options while making health care affordable and easily accessible to all community members.

If you are a member of a narcissistic abusive family, you know how trying spending holidays together can be. Family members don't get along, relationships are strained, manipulations are rampant, anger lies just below the surface.
Each year you hope things will be different, but they never are. A time that should be joyous becomes a time filled with dread. The thought of attending another holiday celebration with your family makes you cringe. You know that the life will be drained out of you, and aren't sure if it is worth it.
The goal of today's show is to help you make decisions that are in your best interest. I will talk about how to survive family time together, discuss whether or not you are obligated to take part in the family festivities, and give advice on how to cope with all the related anxiety and guilt.
If you have any specific holiday questions you would like me to answer, please email them to me prior to November 24th at email@example.com I will be happy to answer them on the air.
