Pam Grout is a hopeless romantic who still believes the world is a beautiful plave that people are noble and that anything is possible.
For a living (an she always wonders why people think that's such an important question) she writes books and articles for such places as People Magazine, Men's Journal, CNN Travel, and Huffington Post. She also enjoys writing bedtime stories for her grandaughter but that more about making a life than a living. She's keenly aware there IS a huge difference.

It's going to be an exciting Hour!
Journalist and HLN Host Jane Velez-Mitchell talks with her long-time friend and colleague, Rolonda Watts, about the big shake-up at HLN and CNN that landed her and her six year old news show under the ax. Jane talks about the power of change and what's next for the author and news star.
Plus -- Jane reveals the truth behind her drastic decision to go Vegan and how her tremendous love for animals led her to it. Jane also talks openly about coming out of the closet and finding the love of her dreams, and what her long path as a recovering alcoholic has taught her about life. Jane tells all in this editon of "Sundays with Rolonda."
Jane's book EXPOSED is a New York Times Bestseller and worth a read with the Jodi Arias trial starting up next week!
I admit it -- I'm a total fangirl of Marissa Meyer. I picked up Cinder, the first book in The Lunar Chronicles, because the cover is awesome. Soon I was hooked. Meyer's recreates fairytale characters in a science fiction setting, and she does so with an eye for emotional engagement and intrigue. She brought both her writing wisdom and her gracious nature to the podcast. We discussed her upcoming books, whether The Lunar Chronicles will make it to the big screen, and the unexpected challenges of being a best selling author.

Following the confirmed Ebola case in NYC of Dr. Craig Spencer, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey announced a mandatory quarantine for individuals deemed high risk.
Patients who have had the highest level of exposure to the virus will be quarantined at a "government-regulated facility" for 21 days.
Will the quarantine be used in a rational, effective manner that prevents the spread of the deadly virus? Or, could this be the beginning of a "FEMA camp" scenario that many have feared for so long?
